Here is another treat holder from my class on Friday – the class was all different types of treat holders not just the Sweet Treat containers in the minis. My idea was to show various styles of treat holders for the various holidays and how to change each one to use for other holidays (or occasions).  Some I had examples for and others I just mentioned ways to change them.

boo-mm-holderSo here is another idea that is really a quick project to make.  This one uses the  Big Shot machine to cut the Top Note die pieces – two from Pumpkin Pie card stock pieces.  I also cut one from a piece of Cast-A-Spell Designer Series Paper – to maximize the paper it is a 3″ x 4″ piece – so you can get 12 pieces from a full sheet of DSP.  You can cut it smaller because you don’t need the full Top Note die for the DSP piece.

One of the Pumpkin Pie card stock pieces needs to be scored and folded over – I score mine by lining the center points of the Top Note on the 1″ line on my cutter.  I used the Tombo Multipurpose adhesive to glue the two sides and bottom edge of the 2 pieces of card stock together – this leaves you with a pocket that the M&M’s can slide into – or a gift card, or money or whatever you need that is fairly flat.

I tied some ribbon around and added the Little Boo stamp (back page of the catalog for $6.95).  He is stamped in Perfect Plum, punched with the 1-1/4″ circle punch, layered with a 1-3/8″ circle of Old Olive and a Scallop Circle of Basic Black.

This one is easy to change to any occasion – so easy in fact this is what became my sleeping bag for the Build-A-Bears.  I actually made this project first and while it laid on my craft table I kept looking at it and thought – huh….that looks just like a sleeping bag, then I wondered what else would fit in there and that’s when the Build-a-Bears came into the picture.  You can read back a week or two in  my blog posts and you’ll see the resulting project.

If you want Christmas – use the Merry Moments DSP and a snowflake image or one from Christmas Punch or Sparkly & Bright.

If you want fall – use Autumn Traditions and the Falling Leaves stamp set or a pumpkin image.

Need a Thank You – use the Very Thankful stamp set for the image and any paper that suits your fancy.

And so on, and so on…..

Have fun with it…
