Last month at my Hand’s On class we made these fun Halloween Luminaries……
I bought the House of Haunts stamp set just for this project because the house and tree images fit perfectly in the circle openings. The luminary is made with the 4″ square coasters just like the Strength & Hope Luminary I made a few months back – CLICK HERE to see more on that.
For this one I covered my coasters with the Pick Your Poison Designer Series Paper in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday mini catalog. And used the Big Shot to cut the circles. The house from House of Haunts is stamped on one vellum panel and the tree is stamped on the other three. I used the Daffodil Stampin’ Write Marker to color the backside of the moon and windows. The ribbon that holds it all together is the Basic Black Taffetta. I added a few rhinestones and then finally went back and added a punched bat. The punch isn’t in our regluar catalog any more but there were some on the Clearance Rack on Saturday. Go to my online store to see everything in the Clearance Rack – these items can only be ordered online.
Here is a view with one of the lit..
Use a battery operated tea light. We have been having fall weather the past few days so it definitely feels like we should be getting ready for Halloween – finally! I hope you like it.
So Cute! This is a good reason to buy those stamps other than just cards!!!
OH, Monika! This has an instant “WOW-factor” to it! Is truly eye-catching! Great work!
