You know how sometimes you are working on projects and then you look down at the mess you have on you table and something pops out at you and says “hey, look at me, don’t I look like _________”.  It varies on the day what might pop into your head at the time.  Well while I was up at Stephanie’s and we were working in the craft room whatever I was doing just wasn’t coming out like I wanted but in the process I had this pile on the table and I looked at it and thought – “hmm, those look just like gum drops” – ok so maybe I just wanted something sweet at the time but I put forth my best effort to turn them into gum drops and create a card.

gum-dropsSo it turned out to be a rather silly card….

The “Gum Drops” are the Scallop Oval punch punched with a circle to create the rounded bottom.  I covered them with VersaMark ink and Irridescant Ice Embossing Powder and heat set them.  I think I need a variety of colors but what was on the table were all the red pieces.

Then what to do with all the gum drops – I stacked them various ways and I think because they were all the same color nothing really looked right.  So I just stacked them one on top of the other and thought about the penguin in Punch Pals.  They would be funny standing on each other’s heads – they are playing with the gum drops and building towers……

So it’s a bit silly but hey – if you ever need gum drops for anything now you know how to make them with your punches!
