holiday-tagsOne of the items that I made to sell at the Holiday Bazaar were packs of gift tags.  I love making gift tags to go on all the gifts under our Christmas tree.  I pulled out a variety of stamp sets both new and retired, my Big Shot, and my punches and got busy.  They were quick and easy.  I packaged up sets of them in cello bags, tied them with gold or silver cord and tied on one of the felt snowflakes from last year.  Too bad we don’t have new snowflakes for this year.

Christmas-Punch-tagsFor some I used my Big Shot and the Two Tags die to cut the tag bases out.  I used Kraft card stock and then pulled the edges across my Whisper White Craft ink pad.  I really like the way this looks.  For this set – I used the folded tag from the die and then used the images from the Christmas Punch stamp set.  This is a Level 2 hostess set and all the image fit into one of our punches.  I was the first hostess set that I got.

Sweet-Season-tagsThe next set of tags uses the other tag on the Two Tags die – it has a scallop end on one side.  It layers nicely with the Scallop circle punch.  I used the snowflake image from the Sweet Seasons stamp set for this one.  It is stamped in Night of Navy on Whisper White card stock.  Punched out and adhered to the Kraft colored tag.  I also stamped the to/from on there.  These tags would be cute with a clear rhinestone brad in the center or each snowflake or even adding some dazzling diamonds glitter on them.

Another quick set for tags is the new Delightful Decorations stamp set paired with the Ornament Punch.  I stamped a whole sheet of Whisper White card stock with the images and then punched them all out.  I added some elastic cord to the top of each one and these were very quick to make.

Delightful-Decorations-tags One of them already has the to/from on the image and the others I just stamped it on the back.

Remember to stamp your image first then hole your punch upside down so you can see the image inside the punch.  Adjust the image to fit in the opening and then punch.  I always punch this way so I can see what I am doing.

Rain, rain go away, come again another day – like tomorrow is fine.  The county band exhibition is tonight and all the marching bands in our county will be performing their shows.  We need the rain to move out so they can get this done tonight.  Our band is going to competition on Saturday and this performance will give them some feedback from an outside person on where they need to improve.  Due to all the rain they have been short on practice time and still need to work on their closer.  I hope they get it done.  One last practice right after school today, then feed them, get into uniform, and head to the exhibition, get home late tonight —I guess homework will not get done or Tyler will be up late tonight.

Good Luck to the Etowah marching Eagles – have an awesome performance!
