I saw the cutest purse at my friend Wendy’s house earlier this year.  She said it was a project that they made at the Stampin’ Up! Leadership conference that was held in January for qualifying Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators.  I did qualify to attend but the trip didn’t fit into my schedule this year.  I do plan to attend in 2011 in Nashville, TN and would love to have some travel buddies from my downline or sidelines so make sure you set your goals toward this.   I attended in 2009 in Orlando, FL and it was wonderful – much smaller than convention and Stampin’ Up! treats us so well with catered lunches and lots of surprises.

So on to this project – I took a picture of Wendy’s but didn’t actually get any instructions of measurements so mine may not be exactly the same as the one they created.  We made this as a Stamper’s Club project a couple of months ago.  Unfortunately several of the products that I used have not retired from the catalog but you can still create this using current products.  Just use new Designer Series Paper and cut your chipboard to the size that you want your purse to be.

The front decorations are the stamp set called For All You Do – the flowers and butterfly are hand cut – I always like the look of that and I know some people don’t like detailed cutting so you could stamp directly on the front of the purse.  I like the dimension that is added by cutting them out and popping them up on dimensionals.

Everyone added a monogram to the front – I actually cut it out of a white coaster so that it would also have dimension to it.  I think the original ones from leadership are just white card stock.

Thanks for visiting today!
