I added another picture to yesterday’s post on the ice cream cone card – it shows the inside of the card.
Today’s project share is a cute little cupcake box designed by Becky Roberts – if you would like the measurements and directions you can find them on her blog – here.
This was another project for my Birthday Class this month. I like the clear window added to the top and the side of the box so you can see what is inside. The box fits one normal sized cupcake inside.
I used the Celebrations Designer Series Paper to determine my colors for this project. Pacific Point, Real Red, Old Olive and Bashful Blue. The sides and back of the box are decorated with the Designer Paper.
The front and top of the box are decorated with the Create a Cupcake stamp set and Build a Cupcake Punch both from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions mini catalog.
I will tell you a little trick that I found to be easier for me to create the little punched cherry. I just use a white punched cherry and then color it with Stampin’ Write markers. The cherry stamp does fit in the punch but I can never seem to line it up perfectly to punch it because it is so small. So I use the stamp when I’m not punching it out and just color a plain white cherry when I need the punched version. I hope that made sense.
And before you put the lid together send it through the Big Shot inside the Dots embossing folder if you want the dots. I did it on my sample and forgot to do it when I demonstrated it in the class. That’s when I say – “do what I say not what I do” – if you want to match my original sample . The tag on the top of the box is the “happy birthday” punched with the Modern Label punch and then I doodled around the edges with the Real Red Stampin’ Write marker. I love this fun little project and I hope you do to!
For the handle use the Crop-A-Dile to punch a hole in each side and add some ribbon for the little handle.
Enjoy your weekend.
Very cute, the Create a Cupcake is perfect for this box, tfs!
