Did you get a chance to have fun with the Sweet Soiree Embellishment kit? It’s part of the Sweet Soiree Suite of products in the Occasions Catalog and it’s on the Last-Chance list. The little embellishments are perfectly coordinated to go with the Cake Soiree Stamp set, the coordinating Sweet Cake Framelits dies and the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper.
My Spring 2018 Stamp, Scrap & Create Retreat was themed with this whole bundle of products. Everyone that attended received their own embellishment kit and one of our Make&Take projects was all about this little kit.
I created a set of six cards for everyone to make with the supplies they received at the retreat. All six featured parts of the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit. The kit include die cuts with silver embellishments, vellum die cuts, washi tape, velvet ribbon and more. Here is a closer look at all six of the cards. Click on each image to see it close up.
The Stamp, Scrap & Create Retreat is held twice a year – Spring and Fall. It is a fun weekend event in the North Georgia Mountains. It’s one of my favorite events to host each year. We enjoy time together, everyone works on their own individual projects and on the provided make&take projects. We have games and prizes and fun all weekend long.

You won’t want to miss the Spring 2018 retreat – March 23-25, 2018!
Are you ready to get away from it all? Leave behind the family, the laundry, the cooking, the cleaning and come join us for a fun Stamp, Scrap & Create Retreat. Come party with us at Skyview Mountain Cottage & Retreat in Ellijay, GA March 23-25, 2018.
Arrive on Friday – come set up your craft space, bring an appetizer to share with everyone on Friday evening for our dinner. If you come before lunch – bring your own lunch. We will have games and prizes on Friday night. Make & Takes will be scheduled for Friday night and Saturday. All meals included on Saturday, Sunday Breakfast and snacks. Finish up on Sunday and pack up and head back home in the early afternoon. We have Make & Take projects planned as part of the retreat – and everyone will receive a Goody Bag with supplies and extras. And little surprises throughout the weekend!
Bring whatever creative projects you would like to work on. You will have table space set up for the whole weekend – so bring your memory keeping, card making, laptop for Digital scrapbooking, Paper Pumpkin kits, jewelry making, knitting – the choice is yours.
The Cabin sleeps 18 people – 8 Built in Bunk beds, 4 traditional bunk beds, 2 twin beds, 1 queen bed and 1 king bed.
Every crafter will have their own table, with a comfy chair, an Ott Lite and more!
I will send out a schedule and list of what you need to bring in mid March to those that are registered.
This time we are offering EARLY BIRD PRICING – paid in full by Jan. 20th – $130.
Regular pricing – due by March 1st – $150

I thought I would add a post about some of my classes that I have coming up the next couple of months. Due to some travel plans a few of my regularly scheduled classes have shifted a little bit. I’m finishing up my September newsletter also so if you are on my email list you will be getting that today too. If you live locally to me or are visiting in the area please join me for a class. Grab a friend and come enjoy some crafting therapy and fun!
Monthly Card Maker‘s Class – this is a fun class for all levels of stampers – brand new to those that have been stamping for years. It’s a flexible class where you get to choose the cards you make. Normally held the last Friday of the month. But I’ve had to move it for Sept and November. Card Maker’s Class – September 15, October 27, November 17
Stamper’s Club – this is a monthly stamp club that meets at my house – try out brand new products, learn new techniques, and make cards and projects that are more involved. Minimum order is required, and each member gets a turn to earn the hostess rewards. Normally held the first Friday night/Saturday morning of the month. But October and November are shifted. Stamper’s Club – October 13/14, November 1
Paper Pumpkin Craft Night – a night to gather and work on our monthly Paper Pumpkin kits. If you are a subscriber bring your kit and join us. If not you can come join and see what we are making or purchase one of the extra kits that I have with me. Normally held the last Wednesday of the month. Paper Pumpkin Craft Night – September 27, October 25, November 29.
Stamp, Scrap & Create Retreat – a fun weekend retreat with your crafty friends. Make & Takes, games & prizes, yummy food, and surprises throughout the weekend. Held in the Spring and Fall. I still have open spots for fall – deadline to register is 9/10. Stamp, Scrap & Create Retreat Fall 2017 – September 29 thru October 1.
Watercolor Christmas Card Class – my first holiday class for this season. Make 20 cards with a beautiful water colored look and gold accents. All supplies included. This is a PREPAID class – fees due Oct. 1st. Watercolor Christmas Card Class on October 14.
Christmas Card Stamp a Stack – join me for my popular Holiday stamp a stack class. We will be using products from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog. You’ll make a stack of cards all in one afternoon. Take them home and mail them out to family and friends. Christmas Card Stamp a Stack – October 28, November 26.

Did you love the little table gifts I showed yesterday? I had a couple more to share with you.
This one is the tiny clear treat box – it is filled with ribbon that was used on Saturday’s projects and the top is decorated to match. A little bit of doily and a little bit of the dragonflies.
This one is a little bag with a spritzer in it. Everyone used that on their Saturday Make&Takes. The bag was one that I cut in half and glued the side shut to turn it into a mini bag.
Plus we had food and we played games and everyone won prizes. It was a great weekend. Here is the gang from the Spring Retreat.

When you attend a Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip one of the really exciting parts of the trip are the pillow gifts that they give you. On the trip each evening they leave a surprise on your bed. It is such a fun thing that I wanted it to be a part of my retreats too. In the beginning retreats were at my house and not everyone spent the night so I left them on each table at different times of the day – so I often call them pillow gifts but I should probably call them Table gifts. Fun little surprises throughout the weekend – for me it’s so much fun to do these.
To start with I like to start the retreat with a table gift waiting when everyone arrives and I like for it to have each attendee’s name on it. This year we started with a little cactus for everyone.
This time the little succulents became a cactus. These coordinated with the Friday Night Make&Takes.
Everyone received a little container made from Designer Series Paper filled with caramels. These also coordinated with our Friday night projects.
Another table gift was this fun box filled with giant Hershey deluxe kisses! Yum.
This one coordinated with the Saturday projects – the bumble bee is from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and the tag is watercolor washed in the background.
