Jan 7, 2013 | Sale-A-Bration 2013, Stamper's Club, Valentine's Day |
Look at this sweet Valentine Treat & Envelope pouch that we made at my Stamper’s Club meeting last week. It really turned out cute!
I used the Valentine Treat Bundle (on special through Jan. 21st) and the Sealed with Love Simply Sent kit (get it free through Jan. 21st). Plus I used the Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button bundle which you’ll be able to get free during Sale-A-Bration (that starts on Jan. 22nd).
So get the Valentine part now and then the Sale-A-Bration part later and you’ll be all set to make Valentine treats for everyone around! Yeah!
Oh – if you want to learn more about the Stamper’s Club let me know – I’m adding new members beginning in February. There’s a bit more information HERE.
The little skinny bag treat that is tucked inside the envelope looks like this. It is basically the Valentine Treat Bundle – which includes the Happy Valentine’s Day single stamp and a package of 50 of the cello bags. To dress it up a bit we
- layered it on a scallop heart that is from the Hearts a Flutter bundle
- added some Pool Party ribbon – that’s from the Sycamore Street Sale-A-Bration bundle
- added a tiny Pool Party heart punched with the Owl Punch
- filled it with M&Ms – yum! (I had to snitch them from the Valentine aisle at the store – it was still roped off because they weren’t done setting it up yet – don’t tell)
Here is a closer look at the envelope pouch – it is basically the Sealed with Love Simply Sent kit with the envelope and the sweet little note tucked inside. We folded it into a pouch rather than an envelope and dressed up the front just a bit –
- stamped the heart from the Valentine Treat Bundle – punched out with the Full Heart punch
- layered that on the scalloped heart from the Hearts a Flutter bundle
- added a Pool Party button from the Sycamore Street Sale-A-Bration bundle – that’s tied with the Baker’s twine from the kit
- added the tiny Pool Party heart punched with the Owl punch
- write a sweet note, tuck it inside, add the cello bag filled with candy and you have a sweet treat to share with someone you LOVE!
You can get the Sealed with Love Simply Sent kit for free with the My Little Valentine stamp set – I would have used that too but didn’t have it. Spread the love. Dec 20, 2012 | Big Shot, Cards, Create with Connie & Mary, Designer Series Paper, Sale-A-Bration 2013, Spring Catalog 2013, Thank You |
I love to Create with new stuff! How about you? Well guess what for this week’s Create with Connie & Mary challenge I have a sneak peek for you with new products from the Stampin’ Up! Spring catalog! This week was a sketch challenge so I could use whatever colors I wanted for my card. And I decided to go with one of the new Designer Papers – Tea for Two. And it has lots of colors – Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, So Saffron and Very Vanilla were the ones I decided to work with. First this is the sketch we are working with this week.

And look at this cute little creation –

What new things are there on this card – let’s see….
- Tea for Two Designer Series Paper – Spring Catalog
- Patterned Occasions stamp set – Sale-A-Bration set
- 1/4″ Wide Satiny Ribbon in Island Indigo – part of the Sale-A-Bration Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack
- Simply Scored Borders Scoring Plate – Spring Catalog

This is a cute and fun square card – it’s 4-1/4″ square. Here are some quick details on how to make this –
- 4-1/4″ square card base in So Saffron, round the outside corners with the 3/16″ Corner Rounder punch
- Add a 4-1/4″ x 3″ piece of Tea for Two Designer paper
- Use the Borders Scoring Plate to score the two rows of scallops along the edge of the paper
- Attach a piece of Island Indigo Satiny ribbon along the edge of the designer paper

- Punch 3 Calypso Coral Bitty Flowers (from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack), crumple them up
- Pierce 2 holes in the upper right hand corner using the Essentials paper-piercing pack as a guide.
- Add 2 bitty flowers with mini silver brads in the center
- Ink the Elephant image from Patterned Occasions Stamp set with Island Indigo ink, use a cotton swap to remove ink from the words and the flower. Use a Lucky Limeade Stampin’ Write Marker to ink the words and flower. Stamp image on Very Vanilla card stock.
- Cut stamped image with the Big Shot machine and the Apothecary Accents Framelits. Trim the right side of the label. Sponge the edges of the label with So Saffron ink.
- Pierce a hole for the elephant eye and add a mini silver brad. Pierce a hole for the flower and add a bitty flower with a mini silver brad.
- Attach label to front of card with Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Tie a bow with Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon and attach to label with a mini glue dot.
- Cuteness!!
Well I love how this turned out and I hope you do too. Visit the Create with Connie & Mary site to see the creations from the rest of the design team and to submit your own creation for this new challenge. Have a great week!
