You have probably noticed that I scrapbook pretty randomly – I actually love that I am going back and looking at older photos. And remembering different events of things that we have done over the years. This is a layout from a few years ago when Ryan was playing tennis and his team made it to the State Finals. It was his first time at the state finals and I think the same was true for probably his whole team. It was a fun weekend trip and I made sure to take action photos. The problem with action photos is sometimes they run right out of the picture!
This layout was from Heather’s Online My Digital Studio class – by the way she has started a second class but I haven’t had a chance to create any of those projects yet – in fact I still have a lot of catching up to do from the first one. I think I got about 20 pages done from the first class. I have however been using My Digital Studio almost every day. I am working on some gifts for the graduating seniors in the band.
So back to the page. Let’s see if I can remember what I used – well punches for sure – circles, square stretched into rectangles, scallop border. Oh and the alphabet punches too for the title – I filled them with color but was able to add a mat to them since they were punches. I even filled one of the circle punches with a photo. But you can also change your photo boxes to be circles and ovals using the photo shape button.
The designer paper I used I believe if from the Noteworthy set. It’s been a while since I made this page and I am trying to remember.
Colors are So Saffron, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake. There are strips of Crumb Cake – rectangle punches behind the journaling so its easier to see. The font is called CK Painterly.
As you can see this was July 2009. Ryan isn’t currently playing any tennis in the summer and fall it conflicts with Marching Band and he doesn’t want to play in the winter. Plus he got to an age where there wasn’t a team in our neighborhood any more – not sure why but for some reason there is an age gap in the teams around here.
And it’s Tuesday so we have new digital downloads from Stampin’ Up! – here is a peek –

You can see the downloads each week on my website – in the newest downloads section. You can visit the MyDigitalStudio.net website and see today’s post about the Tea Time II Kit.

It’s Tuesday – which is My Digital Studio download day – so like I said last week – I’m hoping to post digital projects on Tuesdays.

This page is about “Our Day” – our anniversary day that is. Last summer we went away to the Tennessee mountains for our 22nd wedding anniversary. These were our “self portraits” – balancing the camera while we ate lunch in the park on one of the picnic tables. This was another layout that I created for Heather’s online My Digital Studio Class – the link to her blog is on my right side bar if you want more information about her online classes.
Many of the elements I used on this page are – Walk in the Park II Digital Kit. I also used Baker’s Twine, Beautiful Butterfly punch shapes, My Friend stamp brush set.
Here are todays newest downloads -7 total.

You can see the downloads each week on my website – in the newest downloads section. You can visit the MyDigitalStudio.net website and see today’s post about the Keep This Memory Photobook template – this one looks like a must have for my collection.

Apr 10, 2012 | Birthday, Graduation, My Digital Studio, Scrapbook Pages |
I’ve been trying to post a My Digital Studio project on Mondays – so it could be My Digital Studio Monday – but today is Tuesday and I realized that Stampin’ Up! is releasing new My Digital Studio downloads every Tuesday so maybe I should be posting them every Tuesday instead along with a reminder of the new downloads.
The page above has an old picture from 2002 when Kyle had his 11th birthday – that was 10 years ago and yes this year he will turn 21 – OMG! Am I really old enough to have a 21 year old – apparently so……
The digital elements on the page are from the Piece of Cake – Sale-A-Bration CD. The stars in the background are from Extreme Elements.
And since it’s Tuesday Stampin’ Up! has released some new downloads –

You can see the downloads each week on my website – in the newest downloads section. I have some ideas for the Hexagon Punch. You can visit the MyDigitalStudio.net website and see today’s post about the Grad Party Ensemble.
I also sent out an email about the My Digital Studio club – I’ll be having a Make-Up class at my house the next 2 Mondays for anyone that missed the February class. Contact me for the details.

Apr 9, 2012 | My Digital Studio, Scrapbook Pages, Stampin' Up! Events |
I was excited to get to attend the Manager’s Reception at the Stampin’ Up! Leadership conference this year. Remember I went back in January. At the reception we enjoy a night of entertainment from the Chinese Acrobats. I think I already posted about that earlier in the year but today I wanted to share a My Digital Studio page that I created.
I used the logo from the event for one of the photos. The layout idea is from Heather’s MDS class. The long skinny photo frames worked out well for the photos from the event since everything was tall – all of their acrobats where up in the air. The guy doing handstands on the chairs. The girls that were balancing and twirling tables and statues, and then the guys flipping through the hoops – some amazing acrobats – I’m not sure how the can be so flexible and so strong and have good balance.

Here is a fun scrapbook page created with My Digital Studio.
The rainbow background is made by stretching the pennant punch shape across the page. Copy and paste until there are enough to fill the background and color fill with the colors of the rainbow. I know I still remember Roy G. Biv – that’s the colors of the rainbow – I just had to translate them into Stampin’ Up! colors.
R = Real Red
O= Pumpkin Pie
Y = Daffodil Delight
G = Old Olive (I think Lucky Limeade would have been good too)
B = Tempting Turquoise
I = Island Indigo
V = Rich Razzleberry
and I have one more Melon Mambo.
This idea was one that Heather shared as part of her My Digital Studio online class. You can visit her blog (there is a link on my sidebar) for more about her online classroom.
These are lake pictures from last year and all the bright colors of everything around us. Enjoy!

Mar 27, 2012 | Demonstrator, My Digital Studio, Occasions Mini 2012 |
Earlier this month I had a full Saturday filled with fun and learning and my Stampin’ Up! demonstrator friends. This first part of the day we learned about My Digital Studio and created some “Beyond the Page” projects. And that evening was our meeting where we shared ideas, learned business tips and created some fun projects. I already shared the swaps from that meeting in an earlier post but I wanted to share with you our My Digital Studio projects we made earlier in the day. Cindy Schuster and I worked together to create these projects and we love how they turned out. With the new Summer Smooches Suite of products being available as an early sneak peek in April we decided to use that as our theme for the projects – so we have bright and colorful creations.
First here is our group at our My Digital Studio Retreat –

Monika, Lisa B., Lisa S., Barbara, Sue, Leishman, Diane, Laree, Fran, Cindy
Cindy and I made bags for everyone with their project supplies and hand outs – Cindy created personalized tags using My Digital Studio and the Summer Smooches Digital Kit that will be available in April.
For each project we spent time doing the creating in My Digital Studio and going over tips and tricks on how we created the project. And then we actually made the projects – we pre-printed the My Digital Studio parts ahead of the retreat. One of our projects is this cute little bag that is made with an Iron-On Transfer – everyone can use these to carry their supplies to our meetings in the future. The centers of the flowers are the Brights Designer Buttons that you can get free during Sale-A-Bration – which ends March 31st. Cindy sewed the bags for us – like I’ve said before I have determined that I am not a seamstress. Cindy on the other hand is!

Our next project is a piece of Wall Art created in the subway art style and then embellished with stamps, fabric, card stock, ribbon and a crystal bauble. I started with the Love What You Do digital stamp image and made changes and additions to end up with the Statement of the Heart. It’s a piece of art that each demonstrator can place in her creative area or give as a gift to a new recruit or use as a display item at workshops.

The third project we created was a swatchbook project with the TOP 10 reasons to love My Digital Studio – it is a little business tool that everyone can use to show their customers what you can do with My Digital Studio – we listed 10 reasons we love it, details of bot the full CD version and the Downloadable Express version and included pictures of various projects on the back of each page. We started with the Twitterpated Swatchbook template and then made modifications to get our end result.

Top 10 - #1
I had to add a caption to that one since the right hand side is all white it blended in with the background on my blog and looked weird. Anyway here is reason #1 – we had 10 total. It’s a fun little book and hopefully everyone will find it useful, easy to carry around and cute enough to share with everyone.
Enjoy you day!
