Trick or Tweet next week

I’m going to continue with the Trick or Tweet projects hopefully next week and try to do the FB live for those at that time.  Right now I need to take care of Aspen.

If you have Bonus Coupons from August remember to use those on an order by Sunday, September 30.

Thank you.

Batty for You

I think I love all the little animals in the Trick or Tweet stamp set.  The first one that I actually played with though was the little elephant.  I’ve collected elephants since I was a little girl so this was one I was naturally drawn to.

There are several new Holiday Catalog products on this card – the Trick or Tweet stamp set, the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder, the black glittered ribbon and new Stampin’ Blends in Blackberry Bliss. I thought it turned out to be a fun card.

Supply List

  • Trick or Tweet stamp set
  • Basic Gray card stock
  • Blackberry Bliss card stock
  • Whisper White card stock
  • Corrugated Dynamic Embossing Folder
  • Big Sot Die Cutting Machine
  • Memento Black ink
  • Stampin’ Blends – Blackberry Bliss, Smoky Slate
  • Black  3/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon
  • 2″ Circle Punch
  • Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper

I also wanted to remind you to be sure to use your Bonus Coupons before the end of September.  If you earned them in August you have this month to use them.

Remember I’ll be going live on my FB business page on Wednesday with some more projects using the Trick or Tweent stamp set.

Friends Make the Season Shine

There are so many beautiful samples in the Holiday Catalog.  For my card for Stamper’s Club this month I decided to case the catalog.  We used the Making Christmas Bright stamp set and I created a modified version of the card on page 6.  The sample is a smaller square card and the card I made is a full size card.

This card is the same colors and layout as the one in the catalog.  I did not use any sequins only the Real Red Mixed Satin Ribbon.  The polka dot print is from the All is Bright Designer Series Paper.  We stamped the greeting on Whisper White and the catalog sample is stamped on one of the pieces from the paper pack. The end of the little bulb is also different – we stamped in Gray Granite and punched it out.  I also added an inside layer of white that has the hanging stars stamped in the corner.

Supply List

  • Making Christmas Bright Bundle (stamp set and Christmas Bulb punch)
  • Call Me Clover card stock
  • Whisper White card stock
  • All is Bright Designer Series paper
  • Real Red Mixed Satin Ribbon
  • Call Me Clover ink
  • Crushed Curry ink
  • Gray Granite ink

Here is a look at page 6 from the Holiday catalog – you can see the card that I cased.l

If you need some quick inspiration be sure to look at the samples in the catalogs and use them as a starting point for your creations.

Country Lane Thank You

There are two unique things about this card – first it is square and second there is NO stamping!  That’s right I have a card today with no stamping on it.  It doesn’t happen often but it does happen.  One of the things I love in the new annual catalog is the Thank You Thinlits die – it’s a single die that says Thank You.  It does have a coordinating stamp set that creates a bundle option for you but the die works on its own and makes an easy no stamping card.

I used the new Country Lane Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Catalog that just went live.  One of the coordinating colors in the paper is Cajun Craze so the thank you was cut from that.  In order to maximize the beautiful paper each 12 x 12 sheet was cut into 4″ squares – that gives you 9 pieces from one sheet.  Since I had square pieces for my paper layer I decided to stick with a square card – cutting my Mint Macaron base to be 8-1/2″ by 8-1/2″ and score it at 4-1/4″ – the spine could be either at the top like I have it here or on the left side for a side opening card.   I used bits of my mini dimensionals to add the thank you to the front of the card and finished with a little piece of Linen Thread tied around it in a bow.

Supply List

  • Thank You Thinlits
  • Country Lane Designer Series Paper
  • Mint Macaron card stock
  • Cajun Craze card stock
  • Linen Thread
  • Mini Dimesionals
  • Big Shot Die Cutting Machine

You could make a custom sized envelope with the Envelope Punch Board but I just stick mine in our Medium Sized Envelopes.  This is a quick and easy card to make a stack of.  Do you make very many card with no stamping on them?

Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop Blissful Blooms

Hello my friends.  It’s time for our monthly A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop.  A blog hop filled with alternate ideas using contents from the monthly kit. This month our kit is – Blissful Blooms.

18033233_10209661882799536_5639792754841057266_n

This month’s kit is a beautiful floral kit with silver edged envelopes.  The full kit makes 10 cards – in two different designs.  All you need to do is stamp the sentiments and assemble the cards.

These cards are so beautiful it was hard to do something different with them.  I just didn’t want to cut them up!  But I did do some cutting and came up with two alternate ideas to share.

Blissful Blooms Notepad & Pen

This first idea came about because I wanted to look at the beautiful flowers on these cards all the time.  If I just made cards and mailed them off then I wouldn’t be able to do that.  So instead the thought of converting one of the cards to be a notepad cover came to mind.

To cover the notepad I used a piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock and cut it the width of the notepad.  I scored it to fit across the front, and scored again for the depth of the pad and then the rest was folded to the back.  Use some Tear & Tape to secure the back of the note pad to the back flap.  Cut the front of the card off and adher it to the front of the card stock.  Save the back piece we will be using it too.  The label was stamped with the phrases from the Tabs for Everything stamp set.  And I used the Stampin’ Write Marker to add the little dots in between.  The vellum leaves and the twine are both from the kit.

I used the leftover piece from the back of the card to create the insert for the pen.  Cut it to fit in the barrel – for this pen it was about 3-1/2″ long and 3/4″ wide.  Stamp on the paper using the stamp set in the kit.  The colors I used were – Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive and Lemon Lime Twist.  Use a bone folder to curl the paper until you can roll it up tight enough to slide into the barrel of the pen.  Reassemble the pen and add a piece of twine to the cap.

Supply List

The additional supplies that I added to complete this project were:

  • Card stock – Blackberry Bliss
  • Ink – Blackberry Bliss (in kit), Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Lemon Lime Twist
  • Tear & Tape
  • Tabs for Everything stamp set
  • Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Marker
  • Bone Folder
  • Stampin’ Trimmer

Blissful Blooms Note card

My second idea is a little note card and for this one I cut another card!!  For this one I used the other design.  After trimming it off the card base into a 4″ wide piece – I cut a 1-1/2″ strip off.  I added that to the front of the note card.  That leaves a 4″ square piece which could be used for 2 more note cards.  The rest of the pieces come from the kit. I did remove the silver from the twine for this one.  And don’t forget to add some stamping to the front of the little envelope.

Supply List

The additional supplies that I added to complete this project were:

  • Whisper White Note cards & Envelopes
  • Ink – Blackberry Bliss (in kit), Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Lemon Lime Twist
  • Stampin’ Trimmer

I hope you liked these alternate ideas for the monthly Paper Pumpkin kit. Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts.
