Scrapbook Sneak Peek

scrapbook-sneakMy next scrapbook class is on Wed. April 29th and I wanted to give you a sneak peek of one of the pages we will be making.   We will be using the All in the Family Stamp set along with both set of Accessories so the possibilities for this 2-page spread are going to be endless. There will be two 2-page 12×12 layouts for this class and the class fee is $20.  Please RSVP today.  If you need more information visit my Stampin’ Up! Website and check out my events calendar.

If you want more scrapbook pages consider visiting the Wow Scrapbook Kits Blog that I created for Wendy and I to sell scrapbook kits.  We will have the new kit for May available for order on May 1st.  Orders placed by May 20th will include a free paper and embellishment pack.  You can also order instruction sheets for the individual layouts.  Visit our blog for more information about our kits.  We will also be posting scrapbooking tips on the Wow Scrapbook Kits blog.  You will find a new link on my side bar that will take you there anytime you want to visit.

I have made some additional updates today on my blog.  You will find links on my sidebar for the April Class Kit to Go – it features the Great Friend stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I added a link to my Stampin’ Up! Website to join my Stampin’ Up! team.  You can view several videos about Stampin’ Up! and information about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.  I would love to have you as part of my team so call me and we can get together so I can answer any of your questions.  Right now Stampin’ Up! has an Easy Three Payment Plan if you join by the end of the month – paperwork has to be mailed in to take part of this offer – so don’t delay if this is something that interests you.

I have also made updates to my list of Retired Stamp Sets for sale and added a few accessory items as well.  And as I mentioned already a new link to the Wow Scrapbook Kits blog is now on my sidebar too.

blog-tourI’m preparing my blog for the BLOG TOUR that starts tomorrow.  Be sure to come back and join me as we travel around the country and see the wonderful art work from demonstrators featuring the items in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  If you place an order of $40 or more from the Occasions Mini Catalog you will get to choose one FREE item from the Under $10 page in the Spring-Summer 2009 Idea Book (page 208).  This specials is good through the end of April and is available with Online Ordering too.

I’m going to wait and post new pictures of my birds on Tuesday after the Blog Tour is over.  I checked the calendar yesterday and the Robins are probably going to be the first to leave the nest.  I can see the babies stretching their wings and they are getting pretty big.  I would expect them to leave sometime this week.  The others maybe next weekend or the week after.  I’ll keep my eyes on them.

I’ll see you all tomorrow on the BLOG TOUR.

Soccer Scrapbook

We have been a soccer family for years – Kyle started playing at 5 years old, then Tyler and then Ryan – for a few soccer3years all three played on three different teams and Greg was coaching either one or two of their teams.  Eventually Tyler and Kyle moved on to other interests.  Greg coached up until this last year and now only Ryan is still playing.  This last week and nextsoccer1 week are heavy soccer weeks – with lots of rain this season we have missed many games and as we approach the end of the season they are trying to get all of them played.  Last weekend Ryan played in 3 games.  They had a game tonight and the boys played a great game and won 4-0 against ones of the teams they lost to last weekend.  There is another game on Sunday, and then one Tuesday night and Wednesday night too.  With all this soccer it reminded me of a 6×6 scrapbook I made for Ryan a few seasons ago.  I intend to scrapbook some more of his soccer pictures and also want to make some 12×12 pages too.  I’m not sure I ever shared the book with anyone so I thought I would show you a few pages from it tonight.

Have a great weekend!  Tomorrow is a tennis match day.  I need to make some scrapbook pages with the Just Tennis stamp set too.  Maybe one day I’ll catch up on all the scrapbooking I want to do – but probably not.

Quick note on the birds – I finally saw the chickadee babies today – both mom and dad were out of the house and I got a quick peek at a pile of babies.  The robin babies are getting bigger – they seem to know when food is on the way and stick up their heads and open their beaks until mom or dad comes by to drop in some food.  Today I got to watch while they were fed a worm!  The bluebirds are growing too – I can hear them now from the porch – so I know when mom or dad is there feeding them – they make quite a bit of noise when food is coming.  I’m going to check my dates tomorrow because as the date approaches for them to fledge I don’t want to open the box anymore so they don’t come out early.  Hopefully I’ll be able to see the day that they leave and get some pictures of them as the babies learn to fly.

Blog Tour on April 27th – Tour #4.  blog-tourDon’t miss the train!

Forest Friends Mini Note Kit

forest-friends-boxI bought the Forest Friends stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog because I thought the animals were just so cute.  I have been wanting to use but have been busy with other things so I haven’t even had a chance to put it together.  But I finally did today! And I made the cutestest project!

I wanted to use one of the Mini Note Kits that you can get for free this month.  I got mine in my last order and had it waiting to be used to.  So I combined the two and here is my project.

The Mini Note Kit – Birthdays Count – comes with a double-mounted stamp, 4 note cards with envelopes, and a Chocolate Chip Stampin’ Spot.  You can get it free if you order $40 from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Ask me if you want more details.forest-friends-card

I made a little box out of Chocolate Chip card stock and then wrapped it with a piece of Designer Series Paper – the Walk in the Park paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Then I tied a piece of the double-stitched Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon through a white Jumbo Grommet – also in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I cut out the little bunny and added him to the front with dimensionals.  I made the four note cards by adding a piece of Designer Series Paper – the same paper that I wrapped around the box.  Then added each of the four images from the Forest Friends set – one to each card.  I stamped Happy Birthday from the Birthdays Count Mini Note Kit on the front of each card and the other stamp which has a saying “The Secret of Happiness is to Count You Blessings, Not Your Birthdays.” on the inside of each notecard.

Here is a picture of the whole set and a list of all the supplies that I used:

Supplies:

  • Forest Friends stamp setforest-friends

  • 1-3/4″ circle punch
  • 1-3/8″ circle punch
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals

I hope you like it!

Literally – Mark the Date – not the stamp set, although there is one by the same name which makes me think I should make a project with it, but it doesn’t really have anything to do with this post.  I am trying something new – brand new that I know very little about but it sounded interesting and like it would be fun!  And you get to join me!  Are you curious about what it is?  Any guesses?

blog-tourMark your calendar for Monday, April 27th……..that’s when the fun begins. Hitch a ride along with us for the first ever Blog Tour! (At least it’s my first ever).
