Welcome to the UStamp with Dawn and Friends!! World Showcase Blog Hop. Are you excited to be here? I know I am! I’m very excited to be part of this and to show you the project I created.
If you have been following the Blog Hop from the beginning, you have just come from Marisol’s blog. What did you think of that cute Scratch & Sniff card? Wasn’t that a fun summer card?
If you are just joining the Blog Hop, no problem as you can start at any point. All the Designer’s Blogs are linked together so you will be able to see ALL the super projects we have for you. At the bottom of each post there are links to the previous and next blog.
For my project I decided to use the Strength & Hope stamp set in the Summer Mini Catalog. Remember if you purchase this stamp set (or the digital download) Stampin’ Up! will donate $2 from your purchase to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Stampin’ Up! started their Making a Difference Program in 2003 and partnered with the Ronald McDonald House Charities which continues today. Stampin’ Up! has partnered with various other organizations over the year in an effort to make a difference in the world around us.
Now here is my project which will surely inspire you….
I have had this luminary idea in my mind for several weeks and it came together just beautifully don’t you think?
It is soft and inspirational. I remember when I walked in the Relay for Life for my mom (she had Colon Cancer) we had luminaries surrounding the track as we walked. That has been a handful of years ago but I always think of those luminaries and they gave me the inspiration to make one with this stamp set. These would be beautiful on all the tables at a fundraiser event. Here is another view of the front –

And that would be…..
Congratulations Babe! Email me with your mailing address so I can send your stamp set to you.
Thank you everyone that left comments. I’m so glad you enjoy visiting my blog. The bird adventures should start soon. I saw a bluebird on Thursday but didn’t get a picture. It was a female and she was actually looking in the mirror of the truck from the sheet rock guy that was working here that day. I could see her through my craftroom window – she would look in his window and then turn and look in the side mirror. I watched her for a while and then went quickly to get the camera but she flew up into the tree before I got back. We are supposed to have a nice weather weekend so hopefully the birds will be out house hunting!
Today is my Stampin’ Up! Anniversary! I was officially a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator on Feb. 3rd, 2006. I have completed 5 years and I have loved every minute. I also just passed my blog-a-versary (is there such a word?) – I started my blog Jan. 20th, 2009 – two years of blogging! I had a couple of things planned for my Stampin’ Up! Anniversary but I think I need something for my blog-a-versary too – don’t you? What should it be? Let me think on that while I tell you about what else I have planned this month.
Oh but first here is the card that I used as my Make&Take project for my first ever workshop!
images copyright Stampin' Up!
I can’t believe I found the pictures but I actually had a folder called February 2006 and there it was. Along with two or three other projects. Now lets move on to February 2011 – here is what I have going on…..
First I am planning a SAMPLE SALE all month long. I’ll be cleaning out all my samples that I have made and collected for the last five years. So when you come to my house this month you can shop the sample sale – there will be cards, card fronts, 3-Ds and gifts. I may even have some class kits – with all the consumables cut and you can finish how you want.
Second – how about some Bingo? For the month of February you will earn a Bingo card for every $50 your order from me and in March we will play Bingo to win prizes. You’ll want to check my blog (or sign up for daily updates) so that you can see the Bingo pieces that get called. I’ll send out more details and instructions at the end of February along with your earned Bingo cards.
Check out my February Ribbon Share – that includes Free ribbon and buttons from the Sale-A-Bration Ice Cream Parlor pack.
