It’s Tuesday and the Utah Diva’s Color Challenge Day.  Honestly I waited until the last minute to make my card this week – and I wasn’t really sure what I was going to do but when it was done – it is so cute!  I think I’ll be using this in a class or club at some point.  Here is the inspiration photo for this week –

Click on this link to go to the  Utah Diva’s Color Challenge blog.   There you can see the creations from the entire design team and add a link to your creation if you decide to play along.  Normally I work only with the colors that are in the inspiration piece and not the piece itself but this week was different – I decided to try to create a purse card like the one in the photo.  And here is the result –

What do you think?  It is quite cute in person.  It will fit in the open-ended envelopes that we sell – it is basically a 3×6 finished size but the corners are angled to make it look like a purse.  Colors are Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard, Daffodil Delight, and Tempting Turquoise.

Are you wondering at all about the ribbon handle?  Stampin’ Up! used to carry lots of Chocolate Chip ribbon, but then we got Early Espresso and all the Chocolate Chip ribbon went away and we got Early Espresso.  I considered using it for this card but it wasn’t one of the colors in the challenge – while in reality you probably wouldn’t notice the difference I wanted to stick to the colors.  So instead I used Very Vanilla Taffeta ribbon and colored it with a Chocolate Chip Stampin’ Write marker to make it all Chocolate Chip.
