Hello Tuesday!
Are you ready for the weekly Utah Diva’s International Color Challenge? This week we have a pretty color combination. Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Rose Red and Pretty in Pink. Here is the inspiration picture that we had for this week.
If you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator it’s very likely you have been doing what I have been doing for the last week or so and that is looking at your new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog. Yep – one of the many perks of being a demonstrator is that we get the catalog a bit early. While browsing the new catalog I found a really pretty project that I used as inspiration for my card today. And I love it! I think you will too –
Isn’t it pretty? The base is Crumb Cake and then a layer of Early Espresso. There is a strip of Pretty in Pink and a edge of Crumb Cake punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. The whole card front is sprayed with the Vanilla Shimmer Mist spray. I put a line of Snail adhesive across the pink card stock and then rippled some Pretty in Pink Taffeta ribbon across it.
I die cut two butterflies using the Big Shot and the Beautiful Butterflies die. Stamped them with En Francias stamp in Crumb Cake and then the Rosemary image from Herb Expressions in Early Espresso. I used the Stampin’ Write markers – Rose Red and Crumb Cake to color the image and then the edges were sponged with Crumb Cake ink. I tied Linen Thread around the centers to create antenna. One is mounted on a Crumb Cake scallop circle that is a little crinkled and sponged. To finish there is a little flower punch – the bitty punch – two layers – crumpled and then a pearl in the center.
The whole card front is sprayed with the Vanilla Shimmer Mist spray. and also with the Color Spritzer and Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker. The greeting is a word window – stamped in Early Espresso, sponged and a little pearl added to one end. I hope you like it as much as I did.
