Nov 8, 2012 | Big Shot, Cards, Create with Connie & Mary |
You know its Thursday when there is a new challenge posted at Create with Connie & Mary . This week we have some nice fall colors – More Mustard, Cajun Craze, and Midnight Muse – for our challenge.

This may not have much of a fall feel though – since it is full of butterflies. The idea for this card came from a piece of framed art that I saw Pinterest.
The card base is Midnight Muse and then a layer of First Edition Designer paper stamped with the flowers in Midnight Muse. I added a piece of the crochet trim on the side and then cut lots of butterflies with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit – More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Midnight Muse. I added the pearls to the More Mustard butterflies.
Stampin’ Up! Supplies:
- Card Stock: Midnight Muse, More Mustard, Cajun Craze
- Accessories: Big Shot die-cut machine, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, First Edition Designer Series Paper Stack, Pearls, Crochet Trim, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Remember to visit Create with Connie & Mary to see the creations from the rest of the design team and to submit your own creation for this weeks challenge – each week 3 top creations are selected. Every week I see some great ideas that I want to case or tweak.

Nov 7, 2012 | Big Shot, Birthday, Cards, Holiday catalog 2012 |
I don’t think that I shared this card on here yet. It was one of the cards we made last month in my Ornament Keepsakes class. I was showing some different ways to use this stamp set and I found this idea.

For this card the circular ornaments are turned upside down and they become hot air balloons. How cute is that!
Now you can use this stamp set all year long – this is one way to use it for a fun birthday card – choose your colors for the balloons. Ink the stamp – then I wiped off the tip (which in this case becomes the basket) and use a marker to ink it back up. Stamp on Whisper White and then cut out with the matching set of framelits. The clouds are from the cupcake punch. Enjoy!

Nov 6, 2012 | Christmas, Demonstrator |
Stampin’ Up! is giving everyone a glimpse of what demonstrators get in the mail every other month. Some of our Stampin’ Success articles will be made available to everyone. Here is what they have to say –
Like what you see?
This is just a small sampling of the magazine our demonstrators receive every other month.
Our bimonthly Stampin’ Success magazine is filled with project ideas, business ideas, advice, and recognition for our demonstrators. If you want to see more ideas call your demonstrator and plan a party. You can gather your friends for a girls’ night out. And if you want to receive the full magazine in the mail every other month she can help you join. Just ask.
At Stampin’ Up! we’re all about creativity. Try us out.
So here you go – this is a peek at the November/December 2012 issue – check out the Stampin’ Success Magazine HERE.
And here is a little project from Stampin’ Up! that I included in my November Newsletter –

Nov 5, 2012 | My Digital Studio |
I have a couple of really quick My Digital Studio Projects –

This one is a 5×7 framed piece. I used a template that came in the Home for the Holidays ensemble. Printed it at home as a 5×7 image. Cut it out and put it in this frame. I punched out a silver glimmer star and added it to the glass and added some small rhinestones to the tops of the smaller trees. I also tied a piece of Very Vanilla seam binding around the frame.
It took less than 15 minutes to make this cute project.

This one is a little iron on project. I had a little shirt for my Build-a-Bear and I designed a quick little iron on piece – printed it on the Iron-on transfer paper and ironed-it on the front of the little shirt.
I also made another one for a baby onesie but have’t ironed it on yet. I’ll do that soon and post it too.
Remember today is the last day to download your free Digital Downloads from Stampin’ Up!. Even if you don’t have My Digital Studio you can still use these in other digital programs. Go to my website and in my online store there is a tab for free downloads – there are 3 of them – add them to your shopping cart and check out.
Have a good evening!

Nov 2, 2012 | My Digital Studio, Tags |
I made some quick tags in My Digital Studio using the free Digital download – Days in December. Each set of photos shows the front and back of the tag design.

Be sure to visit your demonstrator’s website and go to the online store by clicking SHOP NOW. Login to your account or create one. Then select Free Downloads and add all three to your shopping cart and check out. They will be added to your account for you to download and install when you are ready. You can use these with other applications besides My Digital Studio. But the new features in My Digital Studio 2 are awesome and your going to want to give it a try – which you can for Free for 30 days – so add that to your shopping cart if you need to. If you don’t have a demonstrator already – I’d be happy to be yours. My website is www.monika.stampinup.net so go there and start shopping.
I have had several people ask how I would print these tags. I would use the Stampin’ Up! professional print service and print them that way – they print double sided with a hole in the top corner to add ribbon or twine for hanging them on gifts. Stampin’ up has reduced the price of the printing and if you print in bulk it is even less. You can see the pricing on MyDigitalStudio.net.
Have a great weekend!
