Look at this fun card I made using the new Stampin’ Up! Circle Card Thinlits dies!
I decided to turn mine on it’s side for a different look – what do you think?
This was the swap card that I made for my PAWS team meeting last Saturday. I loved how it turned out. Here are some details for you.
card base is Bermuda Bay – cut to use with the Circle Card Thinlits die – and run right through using the Magnetic Plate and Big Shot. Then just fold on the score lines and your card is ready to decorate!
Add a strip of Birthday Basics Designer Series paper – I did use the Thinlits die to cut it so the circle cut would match up to the card base.
Add a strip of Gumball Green card stock.
Stamp greeting on bottom of card
Stamp Gorgeous Grunge images on top portion of card and lower right hand corner in Bermuda Bay ink
Stamp the dog image from Animal Talk on Very Vanilla card stock – I used markers to color the stamp so I would have it in three different colors – Gumball Green, Bermuda Bay and Basic Gray. I cut these out with the Circle Framelits die.
I punched coordinating circles using the 2-1/2″ circle punch – one in Gumball Green and one in Summer Starfruit.
Layer the circles and attach one to the circle of the card and one to the flip side.
The final addition was the Cotton Ribbon – I cut a strip in half and then cut away the finished edge on the other side. I wanted it to be frayed. Tied it around the card in a knot.
I wanted to share some My Digital Studio layouts with you today. I am finishing up the Germany album from my trip in May. I’m working on the last few pages. It is a big book – going to end up around 60 pages. I plan to print 4 copies – one for myself, one for my parents, one for my brother and one for my uncle. There is no way I could have made traditional scrapbooks for this trip – so I’m very happy to have My Digital Studio as an option.
I have two different 2-page layouts – one is my dad’s hometown visit and one is my mom’s. Both grew up in Berlin, Germany. My dad was a bit outside the city in a smaller town near a lake. And my mom was in the city. Here is my Dad’s hometown layout.
The day we went to see where my mom grew it up it poured down rain. We didn’t get to see as much as we had planned, but we did get out . Here is my mom’s two page layout.
You can click on each image to see a larger version and read the journaling if you are interested. My Digital Studio is at price you can’t beat – $19.95 – gets you the full program and tons of digital content to get you started. You spend that much on dinner and it will be gone in a few minute, you can spend that on My Digital Studio and preserve your family memories for a lifetime! I’m so excited to finish this book but I keep coming up with more pages to add. I’m down to the last day and we did so much it’s taking me multiple 2 page spreads just to cover that one day. Then I want to add a layout about all the food we ate and the restaurants we went to. A layout with all our modes of transportation, and one about all the grafitti. And I want to add a family tree page to show everyone we saw from my mom’s side of the family on the trip. So I’m getting close but not quite done.
My Digital Studio is available as a Digital Download – order in my online store, download and get started today. Or order the disc (you’ll have to add shipping & tax and wait on it to ship to you). You can shop online for either version here at my website Online Store. There is even a website just for My Digital Studio users – MyDigitalStudio.net – you can find out lots of information there – what print products are available, training videos, samples, challenges, blog postings, discussion forums.
This cute card was one that I received as a swap at convention. It was made by Natalie Travis. I really like the combination of the Baked Brown Sugar with Bermuda Bay. We made this card at my Stamper’s Club meeting this month. We used two of the product bundles that are in the Stampin’ Up! catalog.
Label Love Bundle – Label Love stamp set & coordinating Artisan Label punch
Did you know that if you purchase the Bundles it saves you 15% versus buying the pieces separately. I love that Stampin’ Up! has started offering us bundles with coordinating products.
I’d like to introduce some new products from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday mini catalog –
Truly Grateful stamp set
Sweater Weather Designer Series paper
Witches’ Brew Designer Washi tape
Envelope Liners Framelits Dies
I used all four products on this note card that we made for Stamper’s Club this month. The Envelope Liners Framelits dies include three sizes to line the envelopes that we sell in our catalog – the little square envelopes, the note card envelopes and the medium sized envelopes. You use these with your Big Shot and standard cutting pads.
On this card we put the Washi tape on the card and then stamped “Truly Grateful” directly on the tape. If you want to learn more fun ways to use Washi tape be sure to come to my class this Friday, August 16th – Wild about Washi! We will be having fun making a variety of cards using Washi tape in different ways. The class is offered twice on Friday – at 10:00 am and at 7:00 pm – go HERE to rsvp on my website for the class you want to attend.
