Dec 3, 2015 | Cards, Christmas, Holiday catalog 2015, Uncategorized |
Are you in need of a quick card for the Christmas Holidays? I think this card fits that need. Not only is it quick to make but also very beautiful. The Wonderland stamp set in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog has an image of some gorgeous evergreen trees. I used the Thick White Card Stock for the card base – stamped directly on the card. For this sample I used gold washi tape and cording but silver would also be beautiful.

This was one of the cards we made at my November Christmas Card Stamp A Stack. For the class I prepped 80 of these and pre-tied almost all the bows for the ladies that came to class. I think that was the best for them – me tying the bows! Now I just need to create some more for me!
If this card looks familiar it’s because it is very similar to the one actually in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog. They used only a portion of the tree image and I used the whole thing. They added the wooden snowflakes which I left off this card because we used them on a different one and I didn’t have enough for both – plus there wasn’t really room when stamping the full length of the trees.

If you want to use silver instead of gold use the Silver Cording Trim and the Everyday Chic Washi Tape.
Thanks for visiting today. I think I need a new little signature graphic. Maybe I can create something new over the holiday break.

Dec 2, 2015 | Christmas, Holiday catalog 2015, Stamp, Scrap, & Create Retreat, Uncategorized |
I think I got the editing issue resolved – I didn’t do anything but today it was working. I guess it was just one of those days…
Hello December!
I designed this fun project for my girls that came to the Fall 2015 Stamp, Scrap & Create Retreat. It’s a December count down (or count up) calendar. Marking the days of December until Christmas arrives. I used the Hello December Project Life Accessory Pack as the main piece of the project – so each person had their own Accessory Pack to work with and kept everything that we didn’t use for this project. I also used the Hello December Project Life Card Collection – but divided a pack between multiple people. In the card collection there are 3 designs that had 10 cards of each – so everybody got one of those and then the rest I sorted by “type” and divided up equally.
Here is the cover –
I added card stock pieces to create the base of each page. The pages are attached to the frame with book rings. In order to have the punched holes in the same place for every page I created a template piece that I used to mark the holes on each page before punching.
Here are the first few pages – December 1 – December 6.
I’ll share more pages in the coming days.

Combine the Peaceful Pines Photopolymer stamp set bundle and the Merry Moments Designer Paper Stack and you can make yourself a big stack of Christmas Cards in no time.

This card was part of my November Christmas Card Stamp a Stack class. What a wonderful class it was – each person that attended made 5 of this card plus 3 other designs for a total of 20 completed cards ready to be addressed and sent out to family and friends.

Nov 24, 2015 | Big Shot, Cards, Thanksgiving, Thinlits |
I have another edition of my “Reclaimed Wood” Skinny cards. Just in time for Thanksgiving it’s a Pilgrim! I made this little guy for my last Card Maker’s class and he was a big hit.

Here are a few tips for making him:
- The card base is Basic Gray – it’s a 3″ wide card and the brim of the hat is 4-1/4″ wide – so he will fit in a regular envelope if you want to mail him out. He would be cute for a place card too.
- The hair is cut with the Fringe Scissors.
- The gold foil buckle on his hat is the small letter o from the “no.” that is part of the Little Number Thinlits. And the black centers of the eyes are the centers of that same little o.
- The white part of the eyes are the small pumpkin shape in the Square Pillow Box Thinlit set – trim off the stem.
- For the mouth I traced the Stampin’ Mist bottle
- The rosy cheeks and nose are a cotton swap dipped in Pink Pirouette ink.
- The bow is from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits die set.
- The notch in the collar is made using the top of the Tree Punch.
- Faux stitching is added with a Project Life Journaling Pen.
I hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with you and your family. I have all three of my boys back home. Kyle flew in from California last Thursday. Ryan flew in from Indiana Sunday night. And Tyler came over too (he doesn’t live too far away).
Don’t forget this week is the Online Extravaganza – Click Here for the list – or shop online in my store. The Magnetic Platform is on the list and so are a bunch of the dies for the Big Shot!
