The spice of life is variety, and that’s especially true in the world of color. Stampin’ Up! makes a point to keep an eye on color trends across different markets and industries. When we see changes happening, we review our color spectrum to ensure that we remain consistently on top of the trends. This brings us to the 2018 Color Revamp!
In order to keep bringing you the most current and on trend colors, we decided it was time to give our color collections a makeover. With this revamp we are introducing some brand new colors and adding some former In-Colors to our color collection. On Page 4 in the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog you can see all of our colors – 53 in total!
We still have four core color collections – Neutrals, Brights, Subtles, Regals – each with 10 colors. Plus our two sets of In Colors each with 5 colors. And a new collection called Basics – Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Basic Black.
I created these little note cards to show case the new colors that have been added to our collections. The card idea came from my friend Cindy.

Everyone that came to my New Catalog Kickoff Event was able to make all three of these little note cards.

Which one is your favorite new color or returning In Color? I really like the Mossy Meadow from the returning In Colors. Mango Melody is one I’ve been using quite a bit already and the Gray Granite. It’s very hard to decide on just one favorite! It’s good thing we can get them all.

Check out these fresh, trendy colors. The 2018-2020 In Colors will be available for the next two years. I created these framed signs to introduce them at my Catalog Kickoff earlier this month.

These little frames from Ikea are great because they stand on their own and are double sided. I do wish they were just a little wider so I could fit a card inside but they are made for photos. These are for 4×6 photos so I cut my card stock to that size and decorate it like a card. Normally my cards would be 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ which is slightly different from a photo.
Supply List
- 2018-2020 In Color 8-1/2″ x 11″ Card stock pack
- Whisper White card stock
- Lovely Floral Embossing Folder
- Petals & More Thinlits dies
- Petal Palette stamp set
- Make a Difference stamp set
- 2018-2020 In Color Classic Stampin’ Pads bundle
- Whisper White Baker’s Twine
- 2018-2020 In Color 6×6 Paper Stack
- Pearlized Doilies
- 2018-2020 In Color 1/8″ Grosgrain ribbon
- Everyday Label punch
- Big Shot Die-Cutting machine
I created frames like these last year for the In-Colors and also the little flowers for the vases. This year I decided to do the same little flowers along with the frames.

For these I used the Daisy Punch and punched 3 of each color card stock. I used some short skewers and glue dots to attach the flowers to one end – the skewer is sandwiched between the back two flowers. The flowers are finished by adding a Clear Faceted Gem to the center. These are fun little decor item for any occasion – just pick the color that you need for the flowers and add coordinating ribbon. One of the best things about Stampin’ Up! is the color coordination across all the different products.

The last of the new 2018-2020 In Colors is Call Me Clover – a good solid green addition to our Stampin’ Up! Colors.
Call Me Clover
This past weekend I went to California to visit my youngest son at his summer internship job. My oldest son happens to work for the same company so he few down from Seattle to visit with us too. It was a short trip but so good for my momma heart to see two of my boys. While we were there I stepped into a paper shop and looked around at what they had inside. They offered some paper crafting classes and had some cards on the board. I used one of the ideas as the inspiration for this card today featuring the Call Me Clover In Color.

This is an easy card to make – stamps, ink, paper and a couple of punches. And you could do any color combination that you wanted. I used Call Me Clover, Soft Sea Foam (one of our new core colors), Soft Suede and Pool Party. The circles are punched using the 1″ Circle punch and the 2-1/4″ Circle punch, but you could use the sizes you have on hand.
Supply List
- Classic ink: Call Me Clover, Soft Suede, Soft Sea Foam, Pool Party
- Card Stock: Call Me Clover, Soft Suede, Soft Sea Foam, Pool Party
- Very Vanilla Thick card stock
- Birthday Party Backgrounds stamp set
- Better Together stamp set
- 2-1/4″ Circle punch
- 1″ Circle punch
- Stampin’ Dimensionals
Call Me Clover Dip
When it came to my catalog kickoff event – Call Me Clover was a bit tricky as far as how to tie that in to my snacks. Who wants to eat clovers? So I went with the green color and thought spinach. I served spinach dip and green veges and called it Call Me Clover Dip!

The little tag is like the ones I made for the other snacks at the event – I just used the Call Me Clover color for this one.

Hello to Blueberry Bushel – it’s the third In-Color that I am showcasing. This one is a yummy bright blue. It actually reminds me of the blue from my boys high school. In fact the In-Colors this year a very primary school colors – except perhaps the Grapefruit Grove, it’s not so bright.
Blueberry Bushel

This card actually shows all of the new in-colors but the Blueberry Bushel is the base and the ink that I used. And the cute little flower – I just love them. I made them in all five colors too. You may be looking at the supply list and at my card and thinking that doesn’t look like the Everyday Label punch. But it is. The trick is to trim off the outer ends to make a narrower label. It gives you another shape that you can get out of this one punch.
Supply List (card)
- Blueberry Bushel card stock
- Whisper White card stock
- Basic Black card stock
- 2018-2020 In Color 6×6 Designer Series Paper Stack
- Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set
- Celebrate You Thinlits
- Blueberry Bushel ink
- Everday Label punch
- Big Shot Die Cutting Machine
Supply List (flower vase)
- Blueberry Bushel card stock
- Daisy Punch
- Mini Glue Dots
- Clear Faceted Gems
- Blueberry Bushel 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon
Blueberry Bushel Pretzels
For my Catalog Kickoff Party all the food was themed with the new In Colors. I could have done quite a few different things with blueberries – really it was one of the easiest things to connect to food. But I wanted a variety of food too and since I already had the Grapefruit Grove cupcakes I didn’t want a blueberry muffin or cake. I considered just fresh blueberries but then I found Blueberry Yogurt covered pretzels and decided to use those. Yum!

So now I’m actually eating fresh blueberries as I write this. In the photo you can see I added a little tag to my flower vase so everyone would know what they were.
