One of the new items in the Stampin’ Up! catalog are TREAT BOXES. These are on page 159. They are coated and food-safe for gifts of all kinds of treats. You get 5 in a package for $3.95. They come flat and you just assemble. Add some ribbon and a tag and you have a really cute quick project.
This was project #5 in my Treat class last week. This was also one of our convention projects – well really two of our convention projects – I kind of combined two different things that we made at convention.
At convention we made the treat box and the tag that is in the front right side of my picture. That was one of our Make-n-Take projects. Then another one was the four tags using the new Stampin’ Up! Two Tags Bigz Die for the Big Shot. We made four tags total. For my class we used one of the fold up tags to hang on the treat bag. These little fold up tags would be cute with a candy cane tuck inside – but I searched and searched for candy canes and just couldn’t find them yet. Halloween candy is what is on the shelves right now. So we made this quick project without the candy canes – those you can add later.
These boxes can be easily used for any holiday – change the ribbon, change the tag and your good to go. They have a scalloped edge and a little punch out that creates a handle. You don’t even need any adhesive for the box itself.
The little stamp set we used here is Sweet Season one of the new Holiday stamp sets.
In case you can’t read what it says – the image with the house says “From our house to yours”, and the one with lots of words says “gingerbread & sugared things – enjoy the sweets the season brings”.
This tag with the scallop on one side is the one I used on my 50/50 jar that I posted last week. This is what it looks like just cut once with the tag portion left on it. I plan to make up sets of tags to sell at the Holiday Bazaar that I will be taking part in on Oct. 3rd. If you live near Woodstock, GA I hope you will come by.
Have a sweet day!
