One of the perks from the Stampin’ Up! Incentive trip to Thailand was that we were the first to see the upcoming Holiday Catalog, get some of the products and create with them too. One of my top favorites in this new catalog is a stamp set called Painted Harvest. It’s part of a suite of products with a bold, water-colored look and beautiful fall images. The coordinating designer paper pack – Painted Autumn – includes hand painted designs from one of the Stampin’ Up! artists.
While in Thailand we were able to make some cards using this bundle and once I returned home I used it to create a little box for me Demo Getaway attendees last weekend. So I wanted to share those with you today.
I created this box and sized it to fit a roll of the 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon. This ribbon is in the Annual Catalog but is also featured in the Holiday catalog as part of this Painted Autumn suite. I used the new Painted Harvest stamp set to stamp the front panel and the tag. I thought the words were perfect as I wanted all the girls that came to my weekend Demo Getaway event to know how thankful I was for them.
To make the box cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock 8″ x 5-1/2″. Then score the short side at 1″ and 4-1/2″. Score the long side at 3-1/2″ and 4-1/2″. Fold on all the lines, snip the outside lines to create tabs, fold in the tabs and adhere the sides with some Tear & Tape. Then I used a piece of Very Vanilla that’s 3-1/4″ square and stamped my design on it – I used Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, and Garden Green ink. The tag is actually cut using the Leaflets Framelits in the annual catalog. I used Crushed Curry Solid Baker’s Twine to tie around the box and hold the leaf tag.
Here are the cards that we made when we were in Thailand – in addition to the stamp set we used the Painted Autumn Designer Paper and the Leaf Punch.
I hope you like these samples and the peek at the new Painted Autumn Suite. You’ll be able to order these beginning September 1st. Holiday catalogs will be going out later this month and if you need one and don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator let me know and I’ll add you to my list.
Thanks for stopping by!
