It’s October and while that brings about thoughts of orange and black and Halloween; I think for many we also thing of pink and breast cancer awareness. This time last year I was finishing up training for a 2 day 30-mile walk. On my FB memories a year ago my friend Molly and I had just walked 17 miles! That was our longest walk up to that day. Later in October we would complete the full 30 miles – 20 on the first day and another 10 the second day. It was a wonderful experience and I really wanted to do it again. But scheduling conflicts moved the 2017 walk out to November and on the same weekend that I’ll be traveling to Salt Lake City for the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event. So I’m not walking this year. I do hope to walk again in 2018 – crossing fingers they pick a weekend that doesn’t conflict with anything.
For today I have a pink card for you – I created it for my monthly Card Maker’s Class. Even if it isn’t a card you need right now it might be something you want to have on hand. Alternately you could create the card in a different colors. That’s the great thing about stamps – you can stamp them in any color that you need.
I used the Ribbon of Courage stamp set and Powder Pink ink and card stock. The background layer is embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder. Like I said the other day – it’s my favorite right now. The Layering Oval Framelits are the oval. for the white. There is also a coordinating set of framelits for this set called – Support Ribbon Framelits. A little bit of Whisper White Baker’s Twine is tied around to finish the card. I hope you like it.
