Can you believe Halloween is almost here? Are you planning a party or just need a fun card to send out – try using the Holiday Invitation stamp set. It’s perfect for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year and other celebrations. I paired it with the Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper and the new Tangerine Two-Tone Trim to make this fun Halloween card.
Here is what I used for this card:
Basic Black card stock
Bermuda Bay card stock
Tangerine Tango card stock
Whisper White card stock (that’s on the inside of the card so you can write on it)
I actually wrote a post a couple of days ago for my blog – and for some reason it has disappeared. Sigh. Weird things happening perhaps it’s time for a new laptop. So instead of that post here is a different one – I’ll have to recreate the missing one.
I saw a cute card on Tessa Wise’s blog and decided to recreate it using all Stampin’ Up! products including the September Paper Pumpkin kit. It was the Halloween Boo kit with some great stamps for cards as well as the tags in the box.
Here are some details on the card:
Card base is Sahara Sand – the front is embossed with the large polka dots Embossing Folder and stamped with the small splatter dots from Gorgeous Grunge stamp set
I layered on some pieces from the Motely Crew Designer Series Paper. Largest piece has rounded corners. The small strip is flagged at one end.
Stamp the Happy Halloween from the Paper Pumpkin kit on the larger strip and some of the bats on the largest piece.
I cut a ghost shape out using the Fall Fest framelits – stamped on eyes and mouth and sponged the edges all with Sahara Sand ink. Attach with Stampin’ Dimensionals
Tie some Bermuda Bay Bakers Twine around the largest designer paper piece.
I hope you like it. Here is another view.

How cute are these two? A matching hamburger box and fry box. These are two of the new Big Shot dies that came out in this year’s Stampin’ Up! annual catalog. Kimberly Van Diepen has such pretty creations and these were inspired by a bright and cheery hamburger box project that she made.
The hamburger box is made from Kraft card stock. The Designer Paper is the Gold Soiree Specialty pack. The stamp set is the Amazing Birthday stamp set. Some Natural Ribbon and Gold Baker’s Twine tie everything together.
The matching French Fry box also has Gold Sequin trim and Calypso Coral Seam Binding. All the banners are cut with the Banner Framelits. This cute set makes full use of the Big Shot. Fill these beauties with something fun and give to someone special. Or display in your craft room or special place in your home.
I have uploaded two videos from our helicopter flight to the glacier.
The first is after we landed on the glacier. I walked out away from everyone and tried to do a 360 degree turn all the way around to show where we were. The pilot is speaking in the background to the rest of the group.
The second video is when we take off from the glacier and then fly back out through the mountains.
I’ll be back with more about Alaska and also some stamping projects coming soon too!
