So sorry about not posting yesterday – just trying to get a lot done. So today I’ll share two cards. These are birthday cards that I received earlier this month.
This first card is from my sister-in-law, Stephanie. This is a hybrid card – she created the focal element using My Digital Studio and printed it on Whisper White card stock and then added it as a layer on the front of her card. Here is a list of Stampin’ Up! supplies that she used:
- Old Olive card stock
- Regal Rose card stock
- Basic Grey card stock
- Whisper White card stock
- Sweet Always Designer Series paper (retired)
- Upsy Daisy stamp set (in My Digital Studio)
- Canvas stamp set (retired) – it is on the Old Olive background
- Garden Whimsy (in My Digital Studio)
- Fundamental Phrases (in My Digital Studio)
- Small Oval Punch
- Large Oval Punch
- 1/16″ punch
- Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon
What do you think of that? A quick way to create a card using My Digital Studio and it still looks like it is completely hand stamped card. The great thing about My Digital Studio is you can adjust the size and make images smaller. And you can flip and turn the images – if you have the Garden Whimsy stamp set the butterfly stamp is actually facing the other way – so on this card it was flipped in My Digital Studio so it would face the flowers. This would be a quick for making cards – create the focal image and print it out multiple times, cut and add to the front of your card.
And here is another card from the Utah Divas International Group – I don’t know specifically who made it because there wasn’t a name on the back of it.
The card uses just two colors – Melon Mambo and Whisper White. Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used:
- Melon Mambo card stock
- Whisper White card stock
- Wedding Sweet stamp set
- Well Scripted stamp set
- Melon Mambo ink
- Melon Mambo Polka Dot ribbon
- Scallop Trim Border Punch
- Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder
- Big Shot Die Cut machine
It is so much fun to see these hand stamped cards coming in the mail!
I’m off to finish up for my Stamp Club Meeting tonight, this afternoon we will be at an awards ceremony at KSU for Kyle. And Saturday I’ll be finishing up everything for Easter – my shopping is done and the house is clean (need to keep it that way though). Sunday I’ll have 36 people here for Easter lunch. Busy, busy for the next few days and then it will be spring break.
Thanks for stopping by.
