Well today is the last official day of school here were we live.  It wasn’t much of a day though.  Ryan was the only one that had to go – the seniors were finished last week so Tyler only had graduation practice this week.  Ryan’s last day was one final – Band – which wasn’t a final since their spring concert counts as their final and we already had that.  Tomorrow morning is Graduation for Tyler – I’m headed out in a little bit to pick up balloons to hang on the mailbox.  He doesn’t want a party and Kyle didn’t want one last year either.  So we will go out to a fancy dinner just the 5 of us one day next week.

With that being said I thought I would share this card today as I thought it made a cute Thank You card for a teacher.  It was one of the cards offered in my Card Makers Club this week – which by the way was a lot of fun!

I stuck to some of the more basic school colors – a red (Real Red), a yellow (Daffodil Delight), and a green (Old Olive).  And combined it with the cute little Summer Mini Hostess set called Swirls & Curls Verses.  It has 5 different versus in it – “thanks so much”, “thinking of you”, “happy birthday”, “hello”, and “congratulations”.  I think you could just as easily use this for a graduation card since owl’s are often associated with being smart.  Remember the tootsie pop commercial on TV ages ago?  Just out of curiosity I thought I’d see what the internet had to say about how many licks it takes to get to the center of the tootsie pop – well through various studies the results showed anywhere from  70 to 3,481 – hmmm…..

Oh well – I hope you have a fun day on the last day of school!
