Today is Thursday – what a busy day it was yesterday – lots going on at Stampin’ Up! – new Holiday catalog, the early release of My Digital Studio 2, a cute Halloween kit project for new recruits, 31 days of savings on My Digital Studio products (more on that later), Ryan started back to school, it was Chick-Fil-A Appreciation day, and the Olympics are going on too – and now today it’s time for a new challenge at Create with Connie & Mary.

This weeks challenge CCMC212 is a color challenge.  And today I have something super cute to show you – it’s not a card but a little basket!

My friend Fran Kennedy at my demo meeting last Saturday night showed us all how to make this little basket.  She brought the pattern for us so we could all make one.  And bonus she had it all scored for us!  Then I decorated mine up to fit this weeks color challenge.  I added some paper flowers that were made using the new little scallop circle punch in the Holiday Catalog.  I punched pieces of Sahara Sand card stock – I think I used 7 for each flower – spritzed them with the Real Red Marker and added some color to the scalloped edges, then crumpled them all up.  Then un-crumple and layer them – punch a hole through the center and put the Antique brad through.   I added some Basic Black Taffeta ribbon bows.  Finally add a punched piece of the ribbon border punch across the handle to dress it up a bit.

I think this would be cute in Crumb Cake as a little picnic basket too! I hope you like it!

All the supplies are listed below – come play along with us this week and lets see what you can do with these colors.  I can’t wait to see what you create.  Visit Create with Connie & Mary and submit your creation for this weeks challenge – each week 3 top creations are selected.  Each challenge is open for a week.  And then a new challenge will be issued.
