Well my whole morning schedule was changed today.  Tyler came home from school yesterday and just looked like he felt terrible – which he did.  He slept and last night said his ear was hurting.  Hmmmm….I wonder if this is an ear infection – do 15 year olds get ear infections?  I know when my boys were little they got them but I can’t remember the last time we had an ear infection.  So I called first thing this morning to get him a doctor appointment.  We went in and guess what YEP – an ear infection AND pink eye (I did notice his eye looked a bit like that while we were waiting on the doctor) and he could possibly have strep – but she didn’t want to test for that because the same medicine would cover it that he was already getting – he throat was a little red but not bad.  So then what does the doctor say – you can get this antibiotic FREE at Publix – Really?  Yes amoxicillin is FREE at Publix – I paid ZERO for it.  My mom mentioned this to me a few days ago and I didn’t think I was going to need any meds any time soon – but life happens.  So yes you can get a hand full of medicines completely FREE at publix – go check it out if you have a prescription to fill.  The eye drops were not free and we had to decide on the generic which you take every 3 hours (and won’t work when he is in school) or the expensive one which you take 3 times a day (much better option for someone in school).  Luckily the insurance did cover it so it was only the copay which still wasn’t cheap.  So my whole morning was spent at the doctor office and at the pharmacy and driving around Towne Lake.

I hope that little bit of knowledge might save you some money on your next prescription.  I’m hoping to post a stamping project later today – including the Ribbon Share – the little package turned out so cute!  So they are ready by the way – I’ll get that email out soon.
