I want to start making more videos! So I sat down last night and filmed this and spent a little bit of time editing today and uploading it. It’s just a simple video showing the contents of the July Paper Pumpkin kit. I want you to see how much stuff is in it! And the picture of the cute projects. I still have to put mine together and work on some alternate ideas. I hope you’ll join Paper Pumpkin. I saw the August and September kits and both are awesome. New subscribers can join right now and get your first two months at 50% off – what a deal! And if you don’t love it there is no obligation to stay – but I think you will love it now!
Stampin’ Up! meets Project Life and Becky Higgins! WOW!! What exciting news!
Check out this video:

Get ready for a scrapbooking revolution with Project Life! It helps busy people (so basically all of us) document life using photos and journaling in a quick, simple, and fabulous way. We’ve partnered with Becky Higgins, creator of Project Life, to offer a complete line of elite products.
This wasn’t what I planned to share with you today. But we recently upgraded our internet service and yesterday Greg installed a new router and I guess everything isn’t quite right because I can’t get to the external drive from my laptop and that’s where all my pictures and files are! I’m waiting on him to get home from work so I can get connected to the drive again. Technology is never easy is it?
Even our new thermostats using our network and this morning they had a network error – I was trying to figure out how to turn up the heat. I was able to do that finally but I don’t think the network connection is there so I can’t make changes from my iphone – which is pretty cool. Technology is cool but not always easy!
So instead I’m going to share a video from Stampin’ Up! It shows you the Dip-Dye Technique. Enjoy!
Are you ready? I made another video! This was a fun technique that I taught at my Hands-On class last month. The class was all about Baker’s Twine and different ways to use it. In this video I’m going to show you how I used Baker’s Twine to make a cool stamp! I’m still learning how to create videos so sorry for the shadow puppets at the beginning, and for moving off the screen a couple of times. Hopefully you can hear me better – I tried to talk louder – that was the most common comment from my first video. I learn something new every time!
Here is the card that I’ll be showing you. You can see the original post for this card HERE.
I hope you enjoy the video and this fun technique!
Let me know what you think. Could you hear me better?
Ok – It’s here. I made a video. My first one. So let me know what you think and leave me a comment. I’m still learning how to do all this. Ryan helped me with some of the editing. I’m sure I’ll get better. Any way this was a neat technique that we learned at convention in the I am Creative class. It was one of the bonus classes. We had the pleasure of spending the evening with Shannon West and 5 of the Stampin’ Up! Concept Artists. Each shared different techniques, tips and tricks that they use. Here is my completed card.
In the video I’m going to show you how to create the chevron background. It’s super easy and a new way to use your embossing folders. Let’s see if I can attach this video now.
So what do you think? If you get my blog updates in an email you may need to actually go to my blog to see the video.
To finish the card I used the Big Shot Die-Cutting machine and the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die to cut the two butterflies – Summer Starfruit and Basic Gray. The larger butterfly is stamped with the large image from the Lacy & Lovely stamp set. The Gray one is plain but you could add the chevrons to it too – I thought about that after I was done and didn’t go back to change it. Then stamped the image on Very Vanilla and punch out with the Elegant Butterfly punch. Layer the three butterflies together and staple in the center. Attach to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the designer paper strip.
