I used the stamp set from the July kit to create this card with other supplies I had in my craft room.
I had the Designer Paper on my table and stamped several of the little tea cups and then cut them out by hand. Here is a tip to cut the inside of the handle – use a small hole punch to create a starting spot for your scissors rather than trying to poke a hole with the tip of your scissors which can tear and bend the paper.
To give the dimensional look to the three tea cups I used my Stampin’ Dimensionals – the cup on the bottom I stacked two dimensionals on top of each other so it would be raised further off the paper than the middle one which has one dimensional on it. The top one was just glued flat to the card stock. Here is a closer look at that.
I tied some of the thick Baker’s Twine around the handle but didn’t like that it was so thick so I unraveled the strands and only used a few it made for a daintier bow. It’s the Calypso Coral Thick Baker’s Twine.
Here is the video from the July kit – so you can see what the original projects were designed to be –

I used one of the old Paper Pumpkin kits to create table decorations for the Family Reunion the other weekend. This was Greg’s mother’s side of the family – lots of cousins. We were a total of 49 people.
Remember this Red, White and Blue Pinwheel kit? I still had a bunch left so I made them all up one night and stamped the little banners. I bought a box of jars and a bag of sand. I put sand in all the jars and tied some red ribbon around them – I pulled some retired ribbon from my stash, added the little banners with the twine from the kit. Stuck the pinwheels in each of the jars and we set them out on all the tables for the family reunion.
They came together fast and add a nice touch to all of our covered tables. Here is a look at the whole gang.
There are a few people missing from this picture – I think they left right after we ate and missed it.
If you are a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber you can still get this kit – but it is retiring soon! It is available as a refill and a full kit. It’s perfect for treats or decorating for all different holidays and events.
I’m heading off to convention in the morning and will hopefully post while I’m there. But if I don’t its either because I didn’t have time or ran into technical difficulties. Check my Facebook pages too – personal and business – for quick posts throughout the week.
How did you like the June Paper Pumpkin Kit? I think it’s adorable and I love the stamp set that came with it. It seems to me that this kit gave us both feminine and masculine cards – which is nice. And the lined envelopes are always a treat. For me I ended up cutting a piece off of the end of each liner – you can’t see it way down in the bottom of the envelope anyway and that gave me some other pieces of patterned paper to use for other projects. Each month I try to create an alternate card idea using the stamps and ink from the kit and I include that in my monthly Card Maker’s Class. My Paper Pumpkin subscribers that attend this class can make this card as an extra freebie!
My card for the June Kit features the cute flower and one of the greetings. I wanted to pair it with some other products and decided to use the brand new Brick Wall embossing folder. It is going to be a fun product and it’s a new size – 6″ x 6″ – so you have the option to emboss in either direction on your card front. These wide folders won’t fit through the Embossing Boutique that we used to sell – you will have to use it in the Big Shot so it is wide enough.
I added my brick wall embossed Whisper White card stock onto a piece of Tip Top Taupe card stock that I cut for my card base. The flower is stamped on Watermelon Wonder card stock with Black memento ink and had cut. The stem is a die cut from the Flower Flair Framelits and cut out of Cucumber Crush card stock. I stamped my greeting on Crushed Curry strip that was punched with the Triple Banner Punch – you gotta have it, I don’t think I have used a punch as much as I have used this one in the few weeks I’ve had it, seriously not kidding.
I finished the card with some Linen Thread tied around in a bow and a Crushed Curry Designer button added to the center of the flower. I love my linen thread and have it on my next order cause I’m running low – gasp!
It’s a fun card and a fun Paper Pumpkin kit. I wonder what the July kit is going to be? If you want one you have to join before July 10th to get that one. And by the way once you are a subscriber you can buy past kits, so if you love this June kit – once it becomes available you can add that to any Stampin’ Up! order that you place. The refill is available now and hopefully the full kit will be added in the next couple of weeks.
You can join HERE for a month-to-month subscription or contact me to order a prepaid subscription for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. Prepaid subscriptions can also be ordered online in my store!
I don’t think I ever posted these projects from earlier this year when I played with my March Paper Pumpkin kit. It’s the one called Sew You. I took the kit with me on a retreat in the mountains in April and one evening pulled it out to play.
The kit had a some little “word bubble” elements that were hole punched for stitching the word YOU.
The stamps were various greetings to go along with it. The little black and white cards are adorable in a variety of patterns. Here are some of the things that I made. A lip balm holder – the lip balm that i use and had sitting on my table matched the epoxy accents perfectly!
some other card ideas –
Stampin’ Up! just announced that they are “retiring” some of the past kits that are available in the store. They will be gone after July 27th. Some are refills – like this one and others are full kits.
and refill kits
If you are currently an active Paper Pumpkin Subscriber you can add these to any of your orders. If not go ahead and join now and pick up any kits that you love before they are gone. I’ve used the Glittered Greetings to make Graduation cards – I love the wood words in the kits. Seriously Amazing has some great elements perfect for scrapbooking and project life.
