Sep 20, 2010 | Bingo, Cards, Demonstrator, Halloween, Holiday Mini Catalog 2010 |
At my PAWS group Meeting – which includes the STARZ group and any other demonstrators that would like to join us we did a Holiday card swap. The meeting was so much fun and if you are a demonstrator that lives near me and want to come for the next one please contact me. We have some fun things planned for our November meeting. Getting together with a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators is always fun. We learn from each other sharing ideas and asking questions. We had some “business” topics and then we did Make&Takes and had a card swap.
Here are all the card swaps from the meeting…

Cindy Schuster's swap

Joyce Pandolfi's swap

Laree Stewart's swap

Linda Boisjolis's swap and a treat box

Linda Madison's swap

Lisa Bryan's swap - 2 nerds boxes are inside

Lisa Swantek's swap

Sue Patterson's swap

Sep 7, 2010 | Demonstrator |
I am having a group meeting at my house in Woodstock, Georgia on Saturday, September 11th at 7:00 pm. This meeting is open to all demonstrators in the area – I have met several that are looking for a group to connect with so I wanted to post it here for everyone to see. My plan is to have a meeting every other month. If you can not attend this time but are interested in coming in the future just send me an email and let me know – I’ll try to create a list so I can email you. I’ll also have it on my website events calendar.
There is a $5 fee to attend to help offset costs for the meeting. If you would prefer to provide a Make & Take project for the group then you won’t have to pay the fee. I’d like to have 2 or 3 people provide a project at each meeting. We are going to do a card swap and the theme is Holiday Mini (or other Holiday if you don’t have something from the new mini). Please RSVP to me at [email protected] by 9/8 so I can plan accordingly. Thanks so much and I look forward to seeing you at my house. If you need directions let me know. It should be fun!
Happy Stampin’!
Monika’s Blog Bingo for today is in the post below this one.

Aug 27, 2010 | Big Shot, Bingo, Demonstrator, Stampin' Up! Convention |
These little buttons that read “10 in 2010” were handed out to us at Convention this year. They had lots of them in various colors. I guess I wasn’t paying attention so I had to ask someone what they meant.
And this is what I found out – that Stampin’ Up! set a company wide goal to recruit 10,000 new Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators in the year 2010. I asked if I could take some extra buttons home for my downline and they said sure! So I grabbed some extra ones and when I got home I decided I needed to present them in some fun way.
While we were at convention we had the opportunity to get a new stamp called “Share what you love”. I got mine luckily on the first day because after that they sold out quickly. I used a portion of the stamp for this tag for my button. Share what you love is exactly what it’s all about. I used the two-tags die and my Big Shot to cut the tags and added the button on the scalloped end. If you have ever considered joining Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator I would be happy to answer any questions that you have and would love to have you be a part of my team.
Shelli Gardner, Co-Founder and CEO of Stampin’ Up, commented at convention about changes happening in the company. And on her blog this week she said “As we move forward, I anticipate making changes that are more visible to our demonstrators and customers, changes that will make it even more fun and rewarding to be involved with us! So stay tuned. . .” I’m excited to hear what’s coming and I hope you are too!
And now it is time for Monika’s BLOG BINGO!
We are currently playing the Round 1 group. As soon as I have a winner for Round 1 I will email out the cards for Group 2 and we will start playing. Then Group 3 will follow. Group 3 is now full. See this POST for more details.
Some players are close – I have heard about some with 4 in a row – it could be any day now…….
Here is piece #9 – the leaves from Season of Friendship stamp set (stamped in Pear Pizzazz).

Thanks for stopping by my blog today – I hope you’ll come again!

Jul 27, 2010 | Big Shot, Christmas, Decor Elements, Demonstrator, Stampin' Up! Convention, Stampin' Up! Events |
One of the fun things about convention is to see all of the displays that they have set up. They have things set up inside Memento Mall – which is the special store that we get to shop in to get SU logo products. The first day they limit almost everything and then usually the second day the limits are lifted. This year I got to get in early with special VIP privileges for getting a recruit at the beginning of July! I didn’t have to wait in line – I walked right in, did my shopping and waited briefly to check out. I was so caught up with that I didn’t stop to take pictures that first day when the store was full of product.
Here is the new shirt – and I did buy one so you will see me in it. This one did not sell out. There was also a t-shirt and it did sell out quickly. The laptop bag – yep I got one of those – sold out. And there looked to be a few of the craft totes left – I did not get one because I have the one I bought at last years convention.
These are the flowers on the display table where they had bags of Taffy in Stampin’ Up! colors.
Other items that I bought included some cute new shopping bags, rulers, pens, collapsible trash bins. Many of those sold out too. The trash bins were very popular! And I brought back a surprise for all of my downline! Do you want a surprise too – then consider joining my team and I’ll have something for you too. The new starter kit in the mini catalog is only $175 and is full of exciting new products.
There are also displays throughout the Demonstrator Resource Center which is a fun place for us to get lots of ideas.
Sample “rooms” featuring Decor Elements and stamped elements.
This year Stampin’ Up! created a special place called the sweet shop. OMG you should have seen the stamped creations in there. Stuff looked good enough to eat. The displays are always coordinated on a color or theme. The sweet shop had Halloween, Christmas, Birthday, Office organization, Wedding themes and more.
Lots of ideas on treats and sweets and fun project ideas. I had mostly closeup pictures of ideas I might want to use but here are a few of the displays in general.

Lots of fun new holiday ideas.
My favorite were the chocolates – they looked yummy enough to eat even though it was all made out of paper, ribbon and accessories.
Fun stuff! Have a sweet day!
