My next scrapbook class is on Wed. April 29th and I wanted to give you a sneak peek of one of the pages we will be making. We will be using the All in the Family Stamp set along with both set of Accessories so the possibilities for this 2-page spread are going to be endless. I’m going to wait and post new pictures of my birds on Tuesday after the Blog Tour is over. I checked the calendar yesterday and the Robins are probably going to be the first to leave the nest. I can see the babies stretching their wings and they are getting pretty big. I would expect them to leave sometime this week. The others maybe next weekend or the week after. I’ll keep my eyes on them.

On Friday I had my monthly class and it was called Get Connected Notes Class – we made two projects one I designed as a box set that you could have sitting on your desk ready to go whenever you needed to connect with friends or family by sending them a note. I used the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper and the coordinating colors and pulled out an old stamp set that I hadn’t used in a while – Heartfelt Thanks. It is a beautiful 2-step stampin’ set. Everyone made the box, four cards with matching envelopes – there were two different styles, a bookmark and a beaded pen. This project would also be a perfect gift for a teacher – I’ve seen many discussions on what to give and not give teachers. It seemed the most popular gift that teachers want is note cards or thank you cards – something consumable. So this idea is perfect! My kids only have about 6 more weeks of school left for this year – it is unbelievable how fast time goes by!

The April Class to Go Kit is now available to be ordered. You will need to have some supplies at home to complete the kit as shown. There are two options for this Class to Go Kit – one will include the stamp set and the other will be without the stamp set. So if you already have this stamp set (or prefer to use another set you already own) then you can purchase the second option that includes only the consumable supplies. Or purchase both and have materials to make two sets – one for you and one to give as a gift. I am also adding an option for Demonstrators to purchase only the instructions. Below are all the details for the April Class to Go Kit – featuring the Great Friend stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog and Die-Cut Butterflies using the Big Shot and the Beautiful Butterflies die. This class features a card box that holds 6 cards and envelopes.
April 2009 Class to Go Kit
Great Friend Kit 1 (with the stamp set) is $35

Great Friend Kit 2 (only the project materials no stamp set) is $14

Demonstrator Option (instructions only) is $8
Payment due by April 30th. Kits will be ready by May 14th or sooner.

Step-by-step Instructions to make cards and box
Materials to make six cards with envelopes and the box

Cardstock (precut, punched and die cut pieces)

Stampin’ Dimensionals (1/2 sheet)
Stampin’ Sponge (2 pieces)
Kit 2 includes:
everything from Kit 1 except the Great Friend stamp set.
Additional items that you will need to complete the Great Friend kit as shown are:
Kiwi Kiss Classic ink pad, Pumpkin Pie Classic ink pad, VersaMark Ink Pad, Sticky Strip,
a Paper Piercer and Mat Pack (optional) and
you may want a stamp-a-ma-jig to help you stamp your words straight.
If you need any of these additional items they can be added to the cost of your class.
The kits will be ready by May 14th for you to pick up at my home if you are local. I can mail them to you for $5.00 if you are not.
If you order additional items there may be an extra charge to mail those items to you.

Get Connected Notes Class

Come join me for my monthly hands on stamping class.
We will be making a desk set that includes a box to set on your desk filled with cards, a matching beaded pen and a bookmark and a note card project too.
You will have cards all ready to help you stay in touch with those that matter most.

Greg needed a sympathy card for a co-worker last week and I made this card. I got this card idea from the Stamper’s Showcase from another demonstrator. I made a few minor changes from her original card but it is basically the same idea.
Ever since I saw this set in the new catalog I have been wanting to plan a class around it. I have already had a couple of “emergency card kit” classes and I think this set would be ideal to do another version. Sympathy and get well cards are usually needed on short notice and to have a stack of these ready to go will be helpful to many people. I’m working on my ideas and planning my class as well as when to have it. Once I decide on the date I’ll post it here, on my website and send it out in an email to those that are on my newsletter mailing list.
Our spring break is not as warm and sunny as we would like it to be. It has been very windy and down in the 30s last night and tonight. The weather is really wierd the sky in one direction is dark and stormy an
d in the other birght sunshine. We are mostly staying inside – sleeping, reading, playing games. I hope my birds are all doing well. Here is another picture I took of the male bluebird last weekend.
I’m also working on making more of the Easter Bunny baskets from my last hands-on class. I planning on 15 – one for each of the kids coming to my house on Easter Sunday. We are going to have a big crowd of family and some family friends next weekend. About 40 – 45 people!

The Thank You Kindly Class Kit To Go is ready for everyone that ordered. Step by step instructions and all of the consumable supplies are in the package. An email was sent to everyone that ordered.
