More heart ideas for you – this is #9 – This is a cute Valentine pouch idea that I received as a swap at the Stampin’ Up! Leadership conference. This swap was created by Lori Ruello.

It has a coffee drink mix in it but you could but other long skinny things in this pouch. It uses the Petite Pocket Die which is one that I really love to use. Here is a list of the products Lisa used on this project.
- Big Shot & Petite Pocket Die
- Delicate Designs Embossing Folder
- Crumb Cake card stock
- Whisper White craft ink
- Linen Thread
- Tea Lace Paper Doilie (from Spring Catalog)
- Vanilla Flower Trim (from Spring Catalog)
- Full Heart punch – Real Red card stock
- Hearts a Flutter Framelit & Real Red Core’dinations card stock (from Spring Catalog)
- Hearts a Flutter Framelit & More Amore Specialty Designer Series paper (from Spring Catalog)
- Basic Pearls
I think that’s basically everything – I love all the decorations on it.
Enjoy your weekend!

It’ a little love from Henry the elephant today! He brings Heart #6 to you today. Henry Says was the first thing I bought from the Stampin’ Up! Spring catalog.
I don’t know about you but I think Henry is so cute! And since I collected elephants growing up I had to add this to my “collection”. And today I’m have a super cute Valentine card with Henry sharing his love. Here are the details.
- Basic Gray card base
- Layer of Pool Party card stock
- Layer of Very Vanilla – stamp Henry on the Very Vanilla in Basic Gray. Then stamp the hearts in Primrose Petals – the hearts were so easy to stamp so that they looked like they were pouring right out of Henry’s trunk. I colored the outlined hearts with a Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write marker.
- Stamp the Happy Valentine’s Day(from the Wacky Wishes Hostess stamp set) in Primrose Petals.
- I cut a strip of Primrose Petals card stock and embossed it with the cross stitch folder from the Needlepoint Textured Embossing folders (do that with the Big Shot)
- Stamp Henry on a piece of the designer paper from the More Amore specialty pack and cut him out. And yes I “painted” his toe nails – just seemed like they needed it.
- Not sure why but I seem to always want to tie something on his trunk – so I did – a piece of Pool Party Baker’s twine and a heart shaped Bitty Button.

This was the card I made as a swap card for my PAWS team meeting in January. Hmm – now I’m wondering if I shared all the swaps from the meeting – I don’t think I did that yet. I must have shared the make&take projects.
Have a happy day!

I have another version of my recycled paper Petite Pocket Treat holders – this is #4 in my Hearts for Valentine’s posts.

I made these for a GoDiva group swap at Leadership. Inside I had some Russell Stover chocolate – yum! I used the recycled paper that comes in our Stampin’ Up! orders to make the little pouches. These are great when you need to make a bunch of sweet little treats but don’t want to spend a lot of money – you just need ink, some scraps of designer paper, scrap of card stock, the recycled paper and your clothes pin and embellishments. Here is what I used for this one –
- Cut the recycled paper with the Petite Pocket die and the Big Shot – glue the sides together with the multi-purpose glue
- stamp Love you (from Seasonal Sayings) in Raspberry Ripple ink and also drag the ink pad across the paper to ink the edges and some of the wrinkles
- stamp the small heart (from Hearts a Flutter) on Very Vanilla card stock, stamp the 4you from Tiny tags. I also added a little bitty punched heart (the one from the two-step owl punch). Cut the heart with the framelit and add to the front of the pocket
- cover the clothes pin on both sides with a strip of designer paper – I used a piece from the Print Poetry Paper Stack
- add a Linen thread bow and one of the little Primrose Petals Dahlias
Cute, quick and easy to make.

Heart #2 is a cute little Hugs & Kisses treat. The perfect sweet treat to give to everyone you see on Valentine’s Day.

We made one of these in my Hearts A Flutter class too. It was a cute little idea that came from Melissa Davies – she was in a swap with me at Leadership. Melissa wrote a nice tutorial on how to create this little project – you can find it by visiting her blog – click here.
- I used the love from Tiny Tags on mine and punched it with the Jewelry Tag punch
- I added a little knot of 1/8″ Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon
- the rest follows Melissa’s tutorial

Sending Hugs & Kisses your way! Enjoy!

Now begins the countdown to Valentine’s day. Are you getting ready? Have you made your cards? Your sweet little treat or little surprises for your loved ones? Well never fear I’m going to be sharing ideas with you over the next 2 weeks. I’m going to do my best to share 14 different ideas for Valentine’s Day – that’s 14 heart related projects for you. Now there may not be one each and every day (I don’t always post on the weekends) – and I will have some other things mixed in between – so some days you’ll see more than one post! I do hope you feel the LOVE!

Hearts A Flutter Hands On Class
Heart #1 – is a project from my Hearts A Flutter Hands On class that I had in January. The photo above shows you all the projects. And the card on the right was one I previously shared with you. Today I’ll share the card on the left.
This card features the More Amore Specialty Designer Series paper and the Hearts A Flutter Bundle. It’s inspired by a little scrapbook project that I received in a swap and was created by Glenda Travelstead. I enjoyed meeting her at Leadership this year and she even walked with us late one night as we returned to our hotel telling us all about how she got started in her Stampin’ Up! business. It is always fun to meet other demonstrators and hear their stories and inspiration.
Here are some details on this card –
- Crumb Cake card base stamped with the En Francais stamp set in Crumb Cake ink
- Add a strip of the More Amore Specialty Designer Series paper to the left side of the card front
- Cut apart one of the hearts from the More Amore Specialty Designer Series paper laser cut sheet attach to the front of the card
- Stamp the flag in Pool Party ink on Pool Party card stock and cut out with the die using the Big Shot- both from Hearts a Flutter bundle
- Stamp the scallop tag in Primrose Petals ink on Primrose Petals card stock and cut out with the die – Hearts a Flutter again
- Cut a tag from the designer paper using the tag die from the Hearts a Flutter framelits
- Stamp your word – my card shows Happiness from the Loving Thoughts stamp set, but we also used Amour from Artistic Etchings – use Real Red ink and punch out with the Modern Label punch
- punch holes in each of those with the 1/16″ circle punch and string on a piece of Pool Party Baker’s Twine – tie the Baker’s Twine around the front of the card and finish with a bow.
The More Amore Specialty Designer Paper and the Hearts A Flutter Bundle (the stamp set and framelits) are both available in the Stampin’ Up! Spring Catalog. You can order all the supplies for this project through my website – www.monika.stampinup.net.
So that is your first heart project. There are more to come!

Jan 31, 2013 | Big Shot, Cards, Create with Connie & Mary, Sale-A-Bration 2013, Thank You |
Have you seen the new Petite Curly Label punch? It is the cutest and coordinates perfectly with the Pretty Petites stamp set from Sale-A-Bration and also with the Ciao, Baby! stamp set from the Spring Catalog. I really love this cute little punch and I have another Creation for this weeks challenge from Create with Connie & Mary .
This week is a new sketch challenge – and I have to admit – I was not very excited about this one. But I got through it and came up with a cute little card.

Trying to decide what to do with this sketch – I kept coming to the little Petite Curly Label punch. For the little sections I decide to use the Curly Label punch and use half pieces on the side. Here it is –

Here are some details on this card –
- card base is Summer Starfruit – 4-1/4″ square
- emboss with the Needlepoint Border Textured Impressions Folder
- Punch with the Curly Label punch from the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack – punch 4 and cut 2 in half
- Stamp images from the Pretty Petites stamp set – I used Raspberry Ripple and Summer Starfruit
- Punch out with the Petite Curly Label punch and also punch some from coordinating card stock – turn the card stock punches in the opposite direction and glue behind the stamped ones – see how it creates a little frame on the top and bottom
- Punch a flower using the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack. Crumple and add a mini silver brad to the center
- Add the flower to the frame image.
- Ta-da!
So what do you think? It turned out pretty cute – didn’t it. The stamp set and the punch are both available during Sale-A-Bration for free with a qualifying order. But in case you can’t get both or you have lots of others that you want – the punch will be available for sale after Sale-A-Bration ends.
Visit the Create with Connie & Mary site to see the creations from the rest of the design team and to submit your own creation for this new challenge. I hope you will play along with us this week – I’d love to see what you do with this sketch.
