Last week we made another visit to the Ronald McDonald House.  When we go there we always meet someone new.  And not only are we there to stamp and provide some distraction.  But sometimes we are there to listen to their stories.  This month a grandmother was their with her granddaughter and she talked to us for a long time, she had a lot to get off her chest and even though she didn’t want to stamp we finally talked her into making one of the cards for the scrapbook she was making her granddaughter.  They had traveled here from Tennessee.

I designed the card this month – we (the demonstrators) take turns designing the card and bringing the supplies.

The card featured the Owl punch – I made up all the owl ahead of time.  The card is Poppy Parade and So Saffron.  The Designer Paper is retired, and so are the stamp sets – the Sanded background and the Family Phrases.  The branch is from the Bird Punch.  Here is the card in the other direction –

And some pictures I took while everyone was stamping –

This little boy was so cute!  And so excited to make a card.  He even wrote a note inside and then was so sweet to take it to his mom – hiding it behind his back.  He came back and made another one – I think it was for his grandma.  He was 10 years old with a big smile – he didn’t say much but was happy to be there with us.

Have a great week!
