Sep 10, 2014 | Birthday, Gift Box Punch Board |
The new Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog which went live on August 28th has a brand new Gift Box Punch Board. One day I played around with it and made every size listed on the board – there are 15 different ones –
Then I decided to play around with it to create a little project for my August team meeting and I wanted to do the closure a little different. I used the Sea Street Designer Series Paper for these.
One one side I folded the flaps outward and then stapled them to the inside folds using our new Stampin’ Up! Stapler! Also in the Holiday Catalog – I’ve been using it a lot already.
The other two flaps were pulled up, hole punched, and ribbon pulled through. It could be like a hanger – you could make smaller boxes and they could be little tree ornaments or hang them on a garland for a countdown to Halloween or Christmas – fill them with something fun.
I decorated these boxes with the stamps from the Amazing Birthday stamp set. Check back tomorrow I hope to have another Alaska post and another stamping post. See you then.

Sep 8, 2014 | Big Shot, Birthday, Cards, class, family |
I’m finally home again and will get back on schedule posting to my blog. Greg and I took a 2 week trip to Alaska to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. I’ve been saving money since I became a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and used that savings to pay for this trip. It was an incredible vacation! We were on a Cruisetour with Royal Caribbean Cruise lines – the first portion of our trip was a land tour and the second part was a 7 night cruise. We loved it all!
I’m working on downloading all my photos and videos – I had 2 cameras – my small pink one which also takes video and then my big cannon rebel with the big lens – plus I took some on my iphone. I had hoped to post pictures from my iphone to my personal FB page throughout our trip but guess what my cell phone did not work in Alaska. I was only able to connect to the internet a few times when we were at one of the hotels during the first part of the trip. But we were on the move so we weren’t at any of the hotels for very long. And sometimes the weather impacted the service anyway. So my posting was very minimal. I did manage to post a few times here to my blog using the app on my phone. if you’d like to hear about our trip I think I’ll write and post some about that in between my Stampin’ up! project posts.
The first card from the pink camera has 785 photos/videos on it. Then I have more to get to. So while all my photos are downloading let me move on and show you a card that I made last month.

I don’t think i’ve shared this one with you yet. This one uses the Zoo Babies stamp set. I just love this set. The little animals are so cute. And I got this idea that I was going to have a card with this stamp set at my monthly card class every month. I added this one to my August Class and it will also be available as a card option in September’s class too.
I wanted to create a birthday card rather than a baby card so I paired it with some Designer Paper and the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set. I thought it turned out to be a fun card!

Love this! Don’t you?

The big shot is great for making flowers and tags.

The new Bigz Flower die and the tags are from the chalk talk framelits.
Mini muslin bag is so cute to add the flower to and fill with tea or something small. Add a tag and give to someone special.
Remember today is the last day to join for $99 and get $150 products of your choice.
Plus the Holiday catalog starts today!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

I used the Big Shot and the Star Framelits to create an alternate card using the stamps and ink from the August Paper pumpkin kit.

I stuck with the same concept as the kit. I used a piece of designer paper underneath the whisper white piece that has a “window” cut out with the star framelits. I added the little dot stamp and a greeting. Corner rounded the edges and tied on some Bakers Twine.

I hope you like this idea.
Thanks for visiting.

For the month of August there is a BIG SHOT special going on. Read more about it here. So my next few days of posts are going to be Big Shot projects. This first one features the Starburst Framelits and I’ve created a shaped card.

I also used the Circle Framelits to cut a window in the front of the card and the ring of Designer Paper.

This is what the inside looks like

A fun shaped card! Try making a shaped card with other framelits. Cut your card base and score it. Fold it in half and then position the framelit so it doesn’t cut all the way through the folded edge. It’s that easy!
