Lots of Stars!

Here is another Make&Take project from the Stamp, Scrap & Create Retreat.  This one was designed by Cindy and uses an e-cutter to cut the stars out of the Designer Paper and also the words

.  We created both a card and a 12×12 scrapbook page using the same basic layout and the same elements.

The gold sequins add a little sprinkle of gold throughout each project.

You are going to love this bag!!!

Really you are!  This was one of our Make & Take Projects at the Stamp, Scrap & Create Retreat.  While it took some time to roll all the flowers and attach them to the bag the results were gorgeous!

This idea was from my friend Jeanna who is on the Artisan Design team.  My bag is in coral colors – Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette.  The bag is from one of the past Paper Pumpkin kits – and if you are a current subscriber the refill packs were available – that is what I ordered for the retreat.  We used the bag and ribbon handles for this project and then I used the other pieces on the little pillow gifts that I made.  Here is a closer look at the little tag.

We gave the Big Shot and the Spiral Flower die a work out for this project.  Cut and rolled 28 flowers for each bag!  The craft tweezers and hot glue guns were also well loved for this project.

I hope you like this project!

Wine Glass Treat

This is was the last little surprise that I had for the girls at the Stamp, Scrap & Create Retreat.

retreat-glass-treatI saw this idea on the internet somewhere – I think on Facebook from a page that I liked.  These cute little decorated wine glasses. So I went on a search for some and found them at a local store.  Then I had to decide what to put in them.  I finally found little brownie bites – but these were individually wrapped!  I thought that would be perfect if they would fit in the little glass.  Two brownie bites were just the right fit.

Then I created little tags using leftover pieces from the Paper Pumpkin kit – In the Bag (that’s the one I’ve been using pieces from for a variety of things for this retreat).  I used the Bermuda Bay circles to form the tag and also used one to punch out the small butterfly.  I used the white circles to stamp and punch out the bigger butterfly.  I added some ribbon to the back and clipped them to the glass with the little mini clothespins from the Paper Pumpkin kit.

Like it says enjoy!

Retreat Day 3

Day 3 of the retreat was Saturday and it was a full day of crafting and fun!  We had two more make & take sessions – one in the morning and another after lunch.  Everyone completed 3 make & take projects during the retreat.  And then they spent time working on their own projects.  We took a group photo in the afternoon – I’ll share that below.  After dinner Saturday night we played BINGO and had prizes for everyone!  It was tons of fun. For the Bingo cards I use My Digital Studio to print them out on card stock.  Then I gave everyone a piece of card stock from one of our new In-Colors – they used the new little punch pack to make markers for their board.  I put out a stamp set (one of the retired ones that went with our bingo stamp) for everyone to stamp their bingo card.

Some people packed up late Saturday night and headed home and a handful stayed until Sunday.  We crafted the night away some staying up as late as 3 am (I think – I went to bed).

I had two more surprises for everyone on Saturday – one they found in the morning and another Saturday night.

retreat-smile-popI may have left this one Friday night and the other one on Saturday morning – so much going on I can’t remember at this point.

retreat-smile-tagThe little tags were made using pieces from the Paper Pumpkin kit – In the Bag – the bag was part of one of our Make&Takes and I didn’t want the rest of the pieces to go unused so I adapted them.

I’ll share more over the next few days – our Make&takes and the last surprise treat.  It was a lot of fun.  And I’m planning to do it again in the fall.

Retreat Day 2

Friday was Day 2 our our Stamp, Scrap & Create Retreat.  During the day those that were here worked on their own projects.  I added this extra day so that everyone had more time to get their personal projects done.  Some people had other commitments – work, doctor appointments or school commitments.  For those that were here we headed out to lunch and a couple of people met us there too.  Then back to the house.

The official start was dinner on Friday night once everyone arrived.  I tried to keep the meals with minimal prep work so we had Rotisserie Chicken, Salad and Mashtini’s (mashed potato’s served in martini glasses with toppings).

fri-dinner

After dinner we had our first session of Make&Takes and then a fire in the fire pit with S’mores.  Some late night stamping and crafting and lots of fun to finish the day.
