Lot’s of fun and pretty new things inside. Here is a little sneak peek in this fun video.
Did you see anything that you love? I sure did!
I made this quick card using the Picture Perfect Party Suite. It’s perfect for bright and festive birthday cards all year long.
I used the Picture Perfect Designer Series Paper, Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set and Picture Perfect Party Classic Stampin’ Spots. Plus card stock in Lemon Lime Twist and Whisper White and Basic Black Baker’s Twine to tie it all together.
It’s time to start a brand new year and get back to business. I have been away from my blog for a couple of weeks through the holidays. But my plan is to get back to a regular schedule posting and sharing more. I meant to post this card for you yesterday but it didn’t happen – so here it is today –
It’s a Happy New Year card featuring the Seasons of Whimsy stamp set it the Holiday Catalog. It’s a Hostess only stamp set and today is the last day to get it! You just need to placing a qualifying order in my store and you can choose it for one of your rewards. It actually has a perfect image for Valentine’s day too. Stampin’ Rewards start once your order reaches $150.
Today – January 2nd is the last day of the Holiday catalog and the year end sale. And while there are some things from the Holiday catalog sticking around if it is a bundle (a stamp set and die set or a punch) – the bundle won’t be available anymore. So order that today.
I’ll be back tomorrow with all the exciting news for Jan. 3rd and the start of our new Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration promotion.
I have a super quick Holiday Treat idea for you today. And this one would be easy to adapt for other occasions too – and other colors. I used Lindor Truffles – I used the red ones and the gold colored ones for this treat.
I put two truffles in a cello bag – its’ the 3″ x 6″ sized in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.
I tied it shut with a piece of Real Red 1/8″ Solid Ribbon from the Holiday Catalog. Tie a knot first. Then add a wood star from the Hearts & Stars Elements in the Annual Catalog. There are three sizes of stars and hearts that are open. The one I used here is the largest star. And there are 6 of each one in the package along with solid ones. – 72 total pieces. I also added a piece of the Gold Mini Sequin Trim – also in the Annual Catalog. Then finish your bow.
That’s it. If you wanted you could add a stamped tag – but I didn’t. These were the little gifts at my last stamp a stack class.
If you need to order supplies you can do that right HERE.
The Christmas around the World Designer Series Paper has a variety of prints including this one filled with sweet holiday treats. I’ve been working my way through this paper and the various prints. I may just finish up what I have with a card design for the Ronald McDonald house next week. I’ll be headed there with some other demonstrators to stamp with the guests at the house. Perhaps I’ll use this card design and just let them choose their own prints from the paper pack.
This card was part of my stamp a stack classes and I would change a few things if I use if for the Ronald McDonald house. Because the kids and adults are usually not familiar with stamping and making cards I try to keep it as simple as possible.
Here is what I did on this card (with notes on what I might change):
Soft Suede card stock is the card base
A 4″ x 4″ square of Designer Paper is on the top (I use this size to get the most out of one 12×12 sheet. (for RMHC I’ll use various designs that I have left from the pack)
A 4″ x 1-1/4″ strip of Real Red card stock.
A piece of Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine is tied around the card and in a bow. (for RMHC I will either leave this off completely or perhaps pre-tie a box and have them stick on with a mini glue dot)
A Real Red scalloped circle cut with the Layering Circle Framelits Dies (I pre-cut these for class and would do the same for RMHC)
A Whisper White stitched circle cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies ( I pre-cut these for class and would do the same for RMHC – I might switch out for a plain circle so if they stamp near an edge the stitching wouldn’t be in the image)
The stamp is from the Watercolor Christmas stamp set. (for RMHC I’ll likely pull out a few other sentiments in case I need something that doesn’t say Christmas for someone there.) I used Soft Suede ink.
I added a little gold metallic star (for RMHC I’ll probably leave this off only because I don’t have enough for them to put these on the card)
Then there are two little Garden Green holly leaves tucked under the circle. These are from the Quilt Builder Framelits Dies. (I’ll precut these and have them stuck to glue dots for the RMHC)
A group of us goes once a month to our local Ronald McDonald House – well for me it’s about 45 min away. I missed last month so I’m looking forward to being there and seeing the holiday decorations at the house.
Don’t miss out on some of these great products from the holiday catalog – they will be retiring soon – Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper, Quilt Builder Framelits Dies, Watercolor Christmas stamp set.
