Card Maker’s Class on Friday!

My monthly Card Maker’s Class is this Friday – January 23, 2015.  I offer the class twice – once at 10:00 am and then again at 7:00 pm. If you wanted you could even come to both time slots.  This is a great class for any level of stamper from a brand-new never stamped before or made a card in my life person to someone that has a craft room full of supplies and makes cards all the time.  I hold it towards the end of the month so that you can prepare for the upcoming month.  Take a minute to make yourself a list of what kind of cards you may need – next month is February – so that includes Valentine’s Day.  Are there any birthday’s, anniversary, do you have invitations to any showers, what about thank you notes or do you have a friend that needs a thinking of you card or just a hello?  Come to class with a list and then you’ll know what cards you need and you can create beautiful hand made cards for everyone on your list.

The way I have this class set up is that you get to work at your own pace on the cards that you want to make.  I’ll have about a dozen different choices for you and you can make one or more of the ones you want.  The class fee is $15 which includes 6 cards plus the envelopes.  If time permits you can make additional cards for $2 each.  Cards rotate in and out each month and typically stay for more than just one month.  Bring your own basic adhesive – like Stampin’ Up! Snail or the multi-purpose glue.  I also have some here you can purchase including refills for your snail.  If the card needs anything special like glue dots or dimensionals I have those in the box with the card.

Here is an example of one of the cards you can choose from this month.

big-day-cakePlus you will have some Valentine choices too.  I hope you will join me.  You can RSVP on my website by Thursday night – just click on the event you want to attend and select the RSVP button.  I hope to see you on Friday.

Butterfly Basics Swap Card

I posted a picture of these card parts on my Facebook Business page last month –

card-parts-butterlyMy laptop is giving me fits and everything is taking forever to do – so I’m going to keep this brief and try to add to the post later.

Here is the finished card:

Tiny Treat Boxes

One of the new products that I really liked from the Holiday Catalog were the Tiny Treat Boxes.  They are big enough to put a fun treat in but not so big that you have to put too much in it for it to look full.  And I was so excited to see that they were still available in the new Occasions Catalog!

I used them last month to make little treats for my downline, sidelines and friends that came to the Stampin’ Up! Catalog Kickoff event.  I filled them with a little treat and decorated them with a piece of Designer Paper, ribbon and a cute tag.  I forgot to take a picture before the event so this one was taken inside the restaurant where we met for dinner – it wasn’t the best lighting.

kickoff-treatThe kickoff event was a lot of fun.  They showed a live streaming of the Stampin’ Up! staff at the movie theater so that everyone all over the country could see the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration catalogs at the same time.  They even had prize patrol!  And then an all attendee give away!  I didn’t win a prize patrol but several of my friends did.  Actually most of the people that rode in my car were winners – Becky, Beth, Linda and Ginny won – and so did Jan.

catalog-kickoffI’m hoping that SU does this same type of event for the new annual catalog when it comes out later this year.  It’s a demonstrator only event – and if you want to be part of it then be sure to join my team.  Joining right now during Sale-A-Bration will get you additional rewards – the starter kit is $99 – which includes $125 worth of product plus during Sale-A-Bration you get to choose between two FREE product options:

You Brighten My Day House

If you follow my business Facebook Page you may have seen a photo I posted a couple of weeks ago that looked like this.

sab-godiva-swap-partsThese are the parts for a swap card that I was working on.  I’m in a group that swaps with every new catalog.  We each design a card and make as many as are in the swap.  Then we mail them all to the coordinator and she sorts them for us and mails everyone back a set that includes all the different cards.  It’s fun to see all the different ideas that everyone comes up with and gives me a bunch of samples to put out at my classes.  So are you ready to see my card creation from the parts above?

sab-godiva-swapI thought it was a sweet little card for someone moving into a new house or even just some newlyweds.  I love that the little house stamp fits inside the arrow of the What’s Up punch!  And you can add the little row of hearts to the house if you want – it is a separate stamp in the set.  I used Blendabilities Markers to color the house.  Did you know you can choose the Blendabilities Markers for FREE during Sale-A-Bration.  And this stamp set is also a free choice and so is the Designer Paper that I used.  Below is a full list of all the supplies.
