Feb 3, 2022 | Designer Series Paper, Paper Pumpkin, Sal-A-Bration 2022, Scrapbook Pages, Valentine's Day |
Hello! It’s time for our monthly A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. A blog hop filled with alternate ideas using contents from the monthly kit. This month our kit is the Kisses & Hugs kit from January 2022. A group of us get together to create alternate ideas throughout the year and bring them to you in a blog hop.
The Kisses & Hugs kit is not bound to just Valentine’s Day, it works for all love occasions year-round like anniversaries, weddings, birthdays, or those “just because” days. You’ll see below that I used it for a very special occasion that just happened in our family.
Love You Scrapbook Page
When I saw this month’s kit I knew I wanted to make a scrapbook page. When all my boys were home for the holidays I had some family photos made. And we had Ryan and his girlfriend, Emily, and their two dogs take some photos as well. I was secretly thinking they were practice engagement photos. And then on New Year’s Eve at midnight Ryan did propose! So once I had my kit I knew I could use one of the photos and make a scrapbook layout. The photo I used is one of my favorites of them.
Supply List
The additional supplies that I added to complete this project were:
- Card stock – Gray Granite Card stock, Neutrals 12×12 Card stock Pack
- Simply Marbelous Designer Series Paper – free with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration
- Kisses & Hugs Add-on
A few notes about my page.
- Cut apart one of the cards so that I could use the three individual hearts on my page.
- Use a piece of the gray Simply Marbelous Designer Series paper and cut it in half. Cover the seam in the center with the large heart.
- Stamp “love you” multiple times on the vellum heart
- Stamp “love you” on the heart tag from the Add-on Kit and tie a piece of the gold twine through the hole.
The Kisses & Hugs Kit was designed as a card kit but you can also buy the Kisses & Hugs Add-on which are treat boxes. I used the heart tag and the gold twine from the add-on as part of my scrapbook page. And plan to use the boxes for some treats this month. This is what the add on looks like. I found some Strawberries & Cream Chocolate Truffles which should fit nicely inside these little treat boxes. You can still order the Kisses & Hugs Add-on – just add it to any of your regular Stampin’ Up! product orders
I hope you liked this alternate idea for the monthly Paper Pumpkin kit. Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts.

Mar 21, 2019 | 2019 Occasions Catalog, Big Shot, Cards, Designer Series Paper, Scrapbook Pages, Stamper's Club, Valentine's Day |
Let’s take a look at the scrapbook layout I created for February. It’s a love, heart themed page but doesn’t actually say Valentine’s Day so it could be used for any number of things. My monthly stamp club created the left page and then I added the right page and showed them both in my Facebook Live. Be sure you watch my Facebook Live video from Sunday, March 10th and you can see both of these pages plus some bonus tags.

The Meant To Be Bundle and All My Love Designer Series Paper were perfect for a February scrapbook page. I used strips of paper in varying widths and lengths. This is a perfect way to use up scraps left from other projects. The hearts stamped in the background are 3 different ones from the Meant to Be stamp set and I mounted all three on one block so they could be inked and stamped together.
Supply List
- #147003 Neutrals 12×12 Card stock
- #100730 Whisper White Card stock
- #46970 Lovely Lipstick Card stock
- #150587 Meant to Be Bundle (Meant to Be stamp set + Be Mine Stitched Framelits)
- #148576 All My Love Designer Series Paper
- #148583 Heart Epoxy Droplets
- #147116 Crumb Cake classic ink
- #143263 Big Shot Die Cutting Machine
- #148534 Well Written Framelits Dies
The Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies have so many different elements and they even fit perfectly on some of the hearts on the Designer Series paper. You also have the option to add stitching on some of the solid hearts with the stitching dies.
I scattered the little hearts from the die cut and the epoxy hearts in with the background stamping on each page.
With some of my left over scrap pieces I also made tags. These go on the orders that customers pick up from my house.

Feb 6, 2019 | 2019 Occasions Catalog, Boxes, Designer Series Paper, Paper Pumpkin, Stamper's Club, Valentine's Day |
I kept seeing these adorable heart shaped treat holders on Pinterest but everyone linked to a foreign demonstrator with instructions in french. Unfortunately for me I don’t know any french. I finally found one with some photographs with measurements in centimeters so I started with that and tried to convert to inches and round it up to make it even. Played around with it a little bit until I got measurements that worked for me. They are much easier to make than they might seem. So let’s get to it.
I started by creating this version for my Stamper’s Club. This was one of their February club projects and uses the All My Love Designers Series paper. The stamp set I used for my words is Petal Palette. The little box on the inside holds a Lindor Truffle – the strawberries & cream version for Valentine’s Day. Cut your strip of Designer Series paper to be 1-1/2″ wide and 12″ long. Fold it in half. Then put some tear & tape on the end on the outside and curl the two ends together to form the heart.
To make the box I used a 3-1/2″ square of card stock – Lovely Lipstick for this one. Score all four sides at 1″ and snip two sides and fold to form a box. The tear & tape is perfect for this project. Use it to create the box and then use it on the bottom and one end to add the box inside the heart.
Supply List
- All My Love Designer Series Paper
- Lovely Lipstick card stock
- Petal Palette stamp set
- Lovely Lipstick ink
- Whisper White card stock
- Whisper White Baker’s Twine
- 1/8″ hand held punch
- Tear & Tape
After my stamp club made these I decided to make another one as an alternate project for my January Paper Pumpkin kit. I added the Animal Expedition Designer Series paper – which coordinates with the kit and the Baker’s twine to make some of these hearts out of the kit contents.
The box for this project comes from the pillow box in the paper pumpkin kit. The stamp set, ink spot and white label are all part of the kit too. If you’d like to see a Facebook Live video of this project and my other alternate projects from the January Be Mine Valentine kit go here.

Jan 29, 2019 | 2019 Occasions Catalog, 2019 Sale-a-Bration, Cards, Valentine's Day |
I shared one more card in my FB Live video from Jan. 21, 2019 that used the same suite of products as the projects in the Made to Love Class. You can see the video here. This card was one of the cards available in my Quick & Cute card class this past week. It has a glimpse of the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets that are available through the Sale-A-Bration Promotion. Don’t miss out on these foild sheets – they have been very popular already and are likely to sell out before we get to the end of March!
One trick on this card was that I mounted all three of the little hearts from the Meant to Be stamp set on one block. Then I could stamp the whole group at the same time on the Crumb Cake layer of my card. I just randomly stamped the grouping all over to create this layer. Next I added the piece of Lovely Lipstick Foil sheet and then a strip of the All My Love Designer Series Paper.
To finish the card I tied some of the 1/8″ Sheer Whisper White ribbon on my layer before adding it to a Thick Whisper White card base. The greeting is stamped in Lovely Lipstick ink and adhered with dimensionals over the ribbon. This card doesn’t have to be for Valentine’s Day even though the colors and hearts suggest that.
Supply List
- #148626 Meant to Be stamp set
- #148576 All My Love Designer Series paper
- #148578 All My Love Card stock pack (use Crumb Cake)
- #147116 Crumb Cake Classic Stampin’ Pad
- #147140 Lovely Lipstick Classic Stampin’ Pad

- #144172 1/8″ Sheer Whisper White Ribbon
- #144108 Mini Dimensionals

Jan 25, 2019 | 2019 Occasions Catalog, Big Shot, Cards, Valentine's Day |
The last project from the Made with Love class was a Valentine’s Day card featuring the Meant to Be Bundle. Included in the bundle is the Meant to Be stamp set and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies. When you see this set of dies in real life it is a huge difference from seeing them in the catalog – it makes a ton of different hearts. There are so many possibilities with this die set. There are a total of 16 different dies including two stitching dies to add stitching to a background or the cut out dies. You are going to want to order this set of dies – just look at the tons of different hearts you can get from it!
If you would like to see all the projects from the Made to Love class watch my FB live video from Jan. 21, 2019. You can see it here. Today I’m sharing more details about the Valentine’s Day card.
Happy Valentine’s Day
I used a 4″ square piece of the All My Love Designer Series paper and cut off a 1″ strip to give me two pieces. One was for the front of the card and one was for the inside of the card. Adhere both pieces to a layer of Whisper White card stock. Use the 3″ piece on the top for the front of the card. Add the 1″ piece (using the opposite side) to the bottom for the inside of the card. Next on the front layer stamp the sentiment in Crumb Cake ink – I used Happy Valentine’s Day, but there are others in the set that you could use.
Cut a long piece of Linen Thread – about 36″ – and wrap it around the layer 3 times and tie in a knot. After that add the Balmy Blue scalloped heart on the Linen Thread before tying a bow. Then to anchor the bottom of that large heart I added the small scalloped heart (cut from Lovely Lipstick card stock) with mini dimensionals. Be sure to watch my video you will see exactly how I did this.
