Now for some projects to share with you – I’ve decided to do a few posts to count down these last few days that I’m calling Something Old, Something New. So here we go – today’s something old project:
Its the lovely Succulent Garden Suite from the Occasions catalog. The succulents are quite trendy right now. I know I see them every day on the Ellen show on her table. And I’ve seen some pretty realistic looking creations made with these stamps, dies and card stock. Hurry and get these goodies before they are gone – the Oh So Succulent stamp set, Succulent Framelits Dies, Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper and cardstock pack. A couple of the retiring colors are in this suite so be sure to get cardstock and ink in those colors too – Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron.

I love this new bundle – Colorful Season Bundle – it’s a stamp set and coordinating Thinlits dies that are perfect for every season of the year. Well Monday turned out to be a busy day! Right after I finished my blog post yesterday I left the house – met my friend Diane – and then headed to lunch with a few other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators to be part of a Focus Group. We were treated to a delicious lunch – family style at Maggianno’s – and discussed our topic. I think when it was all said and done we were there for about 3 hours. Diane and I walked around the mall – the restaurant is attached to the mall. And slowly made our way over to the pizza place were we were meeting 23 other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators for dinner. That was fun!
Following dinner we headed to the movie theater and waited patiently for the Stampin’ Up! Catalog Premiere! I believe there were about 150 of us in this theater but total across the country there were over 7600 demonstrators. We were all ready to watch a live-streaming video of the new annual catalog premiere. I thought it was a great event and an exciting way to introduce the Stampin’ Up! catalog. I sure hope that Stampin’ Up! does this again.
We were there for 2-1/2 hours as the Stampin’ Up! staff showed us the new catalog, new stamp sets and products and made us laugh. They were live in California. As we left we got our brand new 2014-2015 Stampin’ Up! Annual catalog!! Plus a brand new stamp set! And a few people even won prize patrols. One of my downline Cindy won the first prize patrol – so exciting! And I can show you the front of the catalog! Are you ready?
You might just be able to find some new things shown on the cover…… and you might really want to be part of my Stamper’s Club and come to my house for the meeting this weekend – Friday night or Saturday morning – just sayin’!

I found another Wild About You card swap in my stash that I wanted to share. At every Starz downine meeting we do a swap. I know I got this from one of the meetings but I don’t know who made it and they didn’t put their name on it so I can’t tell you who designed it. Wild About You is on the Last Chance list so don’t miss out on this fun animal set – great for kids!
I was having a problem getting the picture to load – but now I am on a different computer and it seems to be working. This is an old card sample and the ribbon and card stock are from a prior catalog – so just imagine replacing it with something current. The idea for this card is really cute.
Supplies:
- Purely Pomegranate card stock – use Ruby Red or another red card stock
- Old Olive card stock
- Confetti cream card stock
- Scallop circle punch
- 1/16″ hand held punch
