Use your Holiday paper for Birthday Cards
Continuing the countdown….3 more days to order from the Holiday Catalog. The Designer Papers have been very popular this year. At convention we learned how the designers at Stampin’ Up! create the papers. Many are original hand painted or drawn designs. Now that the holidays are over you don’t have to stop using the pretty paper. Many of the patterns are general enough that they can be used for other things like Birthday cards! Any print that isn’t holiday specific would work. And often when one side is holiday specific the other side is not. Here are a couple of ideas for you.
These are the Holiday catalog items I used on this card:
- Into the Woods Designer Series Paper pg. 43 (On Sale)
- Into the Woods 3/8″ Cotton Ribbon pg. 43 (On Sale)
And here is another:
This one used the Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper. Unfortunately this paper is already sold out. The ribbon on this card is Hello Honey 3/8″ Satin Stitched Ribbon is part of the Year End Sale.
Take a look at your Designer Papers and see if you can make a stack of birthday or thank you cards from something that you thought was just for Halloween, Fall or Christmas.
Here is a video from Stampin’ Up! showing you how some of the Holiday paper were created. If you here a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator say DSP that stands for Designer Series Paper.
The two cards were the same I just switched the Designer Paper and ribbon and used matching card stock. These are supplies for the Into the Woods version:
